I put my t-bone rear skid/wheelie bar on my flux, wife got me the kit for Christmas and I finally got around to installing it.

She also got me a t-maxx body for it, but it's a bit long... and thin. Guessing it won't last long.

I did this today Losi mtxl, figured I'd get a new toy. This thing is insanely large compared to my savage.

KIMG0021.JPG My son and I finally got to run one of the Savages today. We had to richen the settings for the cool weather. I'm just tickled pink that it runs after sitting for a decade. Almost ran through a tank before the steering horn slipped. Now to dig through my parts to find a replacement.

What's going on with that fuel line? Lol. Let me know if you need a servo arm and what tooth it is I should have a few.

He has more than likely ran the fuel line that way to help take care of the half tank lean issue that pleags the savage line of trucks.

I wasn't aware running the line like that took care of it. I'm aware of the half tank issue, didn't realise that was a cure.

I did a mod in the tank itself to take care of the 1/2 lean issue way back in the day. The extreme length of the fuel line is for when you flip the truck over and you have to run a long way to put it back on it's wheels. Having a long fuel line helps to keep fuel going to the engine so it doesn't stall when it's upside down. Basically, it gives you a minute or more to get to the truck before it stalls, rather than a few seconds.

I gotcha. What did you do in the tank to take care of it? I did a new ofna tank but just curious what you did i inside the tank

I did that so long ago, I'm not sure I can remember. I can tell you that I have a short lenth of fuel line that runs from the inside of the cap to the bottom of the tank. The mods I've done to my trucks were all done well over 10 years ago, so it's hard to remember specifics. It's challenging to recall all of the stuff I used to know, but every mod was very effective!

Look for "savage uniflow mod". Basically runs a line from the pressure hole in the cap to the bottom of the tank. In theory, it equalizes the pressure a bit better. For me, it just let fuel run out the pipe when I was on my roof.

I gave up on all the "fixes" for the HTL and just went with other more uniform tanks.

Yes, that's it. And with the long line winding from the exhaust to the tank, it won't spill fuel when upside down, runs much longer upside down, and holds a more consistent tune throughout the tank full of fuel.

Replaced the blown out bearings in my clutch bell, greased my diffs and changed the oil in the tranny. She’s fresh and good to go!

Well I just pulled my savage 25 RTR off the shelf for the first time in 10 years at least maybe longer and plan on getting it running again. I have a lot of work to do last time I worked on it I was right in the middle of taking it apart and upgrading it and just lost intrest in it and I had parts spread all over the place probably lost a lot of them. Probably going to need help from you guys to piece it back together. Have spent my time in electric r/c for last 10 years.

I relocated fuel outlet to help fix half tank lean. I seen this mod somewhere on this forum thanks to whoever came up with the idea.

Do you use a short clunk on it?

I removed my HPI Suspension Upgrade Kit in favor of stock parts on my Flux. Bought it used and it came with the kit on it and I got tired of snapping bolts and excessive ball end slop. Also hacked up some rear tierod eliminators and put those on.
