Sick Purple cage man, is there any way to rase it a bit, to cove the top head fins?

You could modify it easily to sit a bit higher, but you don't need to. The fins can't hit anything with the cage being there is no give to the body if you know what I mean

There's quite a lot of aftermarket brand parts on Amazon too.

Thats what i thought so i was tryn to get the disc brakes and i ended up buyin 3 sets all are bigger than the stock one .. it says fits savage 4.6 savage X.. so now i have one coming again i hope this will be the correct one..

Yes they have a lot of different versions of those. But the only thing that will keep them from working is the hex shaped hub they slide onto. Even that is changeable amongst other savage models.

I prolly shouldve bought the cup joint! I spent a total close to $50 including shipping on the brakes only!

Thanks for the link when i searched i missed that kit!! Smh! You know when they say google is your friend?? Sometimes is not true! Heheh.. google kept giving me wrong info and sellers that charge a lot in shipping!!

Ouch! I always do heavy research with ebay, amazon, tower hobbies, dollar hobbyz, hobby town usa, etc. Before committing to any purchases.

I know ..thats y I'm so mad at myself heheh! Spent money on bs! Anyway do u know thw bigger cup joint part number?? Might as well replace the other savage i have.. but now i got 2 sets of just disc brakes

Picture will always help you when you have a problem @badboy2 polluting up threads with a few word answers does not help anyone at all especially if you keep spending money and not getting the correct part you need.....

Yea ill do that next time!! I thought i knew my savage by heart? Hehe this is prolly my 12th savage that ive owned..i should have kept my old parts!

well i tore down my savage 25 today waiting on parts from RC monster and i decides to check the front and rear diffs wow no oil and it looks like the gasket is gone. can i use a rtv on these? so in the mean time i fixed my sons stampede, my first build and custom body brush less and runs 42mph GPS , not as much fun as my savage!! oh and i flew my part way custom helicopter.
i wish my local hobby store carried hpi parts

Well that has plastic diff cups and most do not hold oil well, also looks like that is a 2 spider differential so it would be best to upgrade to alloy diff cups and 4 spider gear setups.... Grease is usually a better alternative to oil unless racing and seeing as there is very little nitro monster truck racing I would still use grease inside the differentials

Thanks, yes i have been looking at the aluminum diff case from innovated.
so more upgrades!
i have an electric conversion kit on this truck

Had my cage powder coated black, threw on some integy rear hubs with new bearings, added some traxxas jato springs to replace mine upper springs on my big bores. Have zero sag now and it is a little stiffer
