    I can’t believe it works

I have an older HPI Savage RTR nitro truck I bought new around 2007, the last time I ran the truck was 6 yrs ago . Earlier this summer I tried to run it but the screws to the roto start loosened up and fell out. Well aside from the after run maintainance I’ve never done anything else to the...

    Break Problem

The breaks on the truck were never really good, but they were better than they are now. I never messed with the linkage except to try and adjust the breaks via the break adjustment screw, and no I have'nt looked at the break disk. I wish I could give you more info than that

    Break Problem

I'm haveing break problems with my X it seems that if I turn the break adjustment screw counter clockwise until there is no break drag in neutral, I have no breaks when I push the trigger on my radio forword to the break possition. And if I turn the break adjusting screw clockwise to add more...

    Replacement Servo's

I've been told that the radio's that come with the ALL RTR trucks be it Savage ,Traxxas, ect are not very good, or maybe a better way to put it is, I guess there are better radio systems to be had. I don't race my X nor do I run it "hard", I run it fast, but I don't jump it , I try not to run...

Why I think the SS kit is best for beginners

Now bear with me, there's a reason for this maddness. I'm fairly new to Nitro RC, and as many of you must know by now, I've had my problems. But I remember back in the mid 1980's Tamya had some real popular electric RC buggies, and they were in kit form, you had to build them, Yep every gear bolt...

    No compressor, no problem

A compressor can be an expensive item but there is a good, and cheeper alturnative when it comes to cleanning your car or truck. When my X gets really dirty I spray it down with denatured alcahal (sorry for the spelling). I wait a few minutes then I get the trusty electric leaf blower, put it on...

Changed fuel brand, is this normal?

I have been useing Traxxas Top Fuel 20% since I got my truck and car, but I ran out and the LHS was out of Top Fuel. The hobby guy told me that Trinity Monster 20% was pretty close to Traxxas 20%. I used it for the first time last evenning, and the X always ran around 240/245 with the Top Fuel...

I guess it's shame on me???

I've been haveing problems getting my Evo running right, Grip spent alot of time helping me. As I was in the process of following his instructions, I noticed the 4 engine mounting screws were loose, not loose enought to mess up the pinion gear adjustments, but loose enough to see the clutch...

    Evo 3 stopped running??

OK, I've used a temp gun and it was always running cool in the 190's. As far as setting the idle I know to take the airfilter off, and keep the brake applyed, but I'm not sure how to mesure the carb slide openning, I know I need a feelers guage, but what exactally do I messure in the carb?, And...

    Evo 3 stopped running??

I was running my RTR 3 EVO today and shortly after I was running it , it just stopped running!! It has almost a full tank of fuel in it, I put the HSN back to the factory setting, and have never touched the LSN, nor have I ever messed with the idle needle. I had to stop messing with it because...

    To much after-run oil??

Thursday evenning when I finished running my Savage X I pulled the glow plug and the airfilter and put about 15 drops of after-run oil into the cylinder head, and about 6 drops in the carburator. then I closed everything back up and crancked the engine a few times with my cordless drill...

Getting ready to run my Savage X

Double-O-Zilch, Well I took your advice, I took her out this mornning, and she's running GREAT. The outside temp was 83 degrees, I first ran it on short mowed grass with-out the body, after one tank of fuel I checked the engine temp with my heatgun and she was 216 degrees, after I let it cool...
