I am getting closer to the performance tune. The third was shifting in earlier than it should.

I stopped recording to adjust 3rd gear. Plus I got occupied putting a beat down on a truggy that showed up.:lmao4:rockout
 
yo joe... I'm having problems with my alloy servo horn hitting my engine mount when turning. So i have decided to mount my servo on the exterior of the truck. This means i need a longer, stronger servo connector from the servo horn to the servo saver. I found this pic of yours.

In the bottom left is what i need. Something adjustable. Can you tell me what you made it from?
I cant find the two end parts in the right size.

Josh if I understand you correctly, you want the HPI Steering Linkage Set Baja. Part number: 85467 I would recommend measuring the distance and look at the Lunsford products.

Thanks Frddy. The engine is impressive and I am getting a better understanding of how to listen and what to look at for a better tune.
 
Someone earlier in the day asked about an E Revo Body and Savage chassis match up. So here you go. Along with the body I finally mounted the new trenchers with Axial oversize rims. The tire and wheel combo weight is 3.5 LBS

when those tires came out i thought they looked great but 3.5lbs!!!! no thank you... but damn they look good on your truck with the e revo body!

i see your using the prc wing mount... i am making mine out of aluminium right now using the prc as a template. Did you have to cut any out of the body?
 
Josh my badlands with dish wheels weight 2.4 LBS. You have the Badlands them on SPI wheels don't you? Unless you are looking for light weight you are going to have to use racing wheels and dish wheels to be in the 1-lower 2 LBS range. Proline foams put weight to the tires but they help much better to minimize balloning action.
 
my badlands with spi rims weigh 2.75-2.8lbs which is heavy but ok i guess. I do like my dish rims and dirtbonz, what a light combination!

The thing is joe... i feel my truck is way out or proportion and i do need some huge wheels... These wheels look massive! and compared to the big joes, i think they may be a little lighter??? i cant remember what you weighed your joes at?

Are you happy with the trenchers? can you try them out and tell me how they grip because i am quite tempted!

Just .2 LBS lighter. When you bash, why worry to much. Haha. Proline gave me those tires for FRREEEEEE.

hmmm if they are only .2lbs lighter i may take the joes but these trenchers look like better performing tires...

If you had to get some big tires not only for looks but for performance too... would it be joes or trenchers?

The Big Joes are wider, while the Trenchers are taller. The Big Joes IMO work well on the road, dirt (loose), and grass. The Trenchers does the same and with the side wall threads it digs much better when the surfaces are dry. The Big Joes worked better in the wet surfaces as the threads are not tight. The foams that come with Trenchers do not ballon the tires as much. I have not tested the tires on hard clay dirt, so i can not comment on it. I will say though the rims for these tires have some input of performance. Both are Axial 40 series the one with the Big Joes make the combo heavier, while the other with the Trenchers are lighter. The compound on the Big Joes seemed softer and loss more material on the road versa the Trenchers. SO which combo is better depends on the surface IMO.


How i got it for free? They messed up my order royaly, but now I have a better relation and respect for Proline.

Those are some nice rims with the joes.
But after our convo i think i may have a look at the trenchers.

Seriously though your truck is like a model for all these different rim and tire companies! you should send your pics in and see if they use them lol

Proline has been working with me on opinions. I already told them the road rage 40's are not impressive which ended up in the trash. I have the calibers to play with now that they gave me for free too. Haha

joe is this the same truck you have been running in your videos? Why is it not dirrty? After my first outing it got scratches from stones and dust in every single crevasse! do you take it completely apart and shine every screw and part after every run? lol

I do no have problems with the balloning, just the balance. I took me a long time to balance it and way more putty than expected.

I can't take advantage of the situation. It was an offer from them and I ran with it. I know you were J/K.

Trust me, the truck went through mud and dirt already. Look closely, the FLM bulks and tower are replaced with stock. It got so muddy and wet that I fried the throttle servo (SF-5). I just use a baby bottle brush, gardern hose, and air compressor. I use a rag to wipe the reamaining nitro oil that is on the body and wipe the chassis and parts to give it a shine. I check all the bolts every run. The RSC is scratched and some of the chassis but all surface.
