So I dropped in Flux HP gears into my X trans just because I had them and was curious to see what happened. I like the beefiness and consistency of the single speed, but top speed lacks a bit. Running 15/47 clutch/spur and just using the standard 100905 44T idler, but want to drop in the optional 102244 39T high speed gear to see what difference it makes. I'm worried I'll lose the low end punch though - I'll probably go back to the 2 speed eventually but just for romping around the neighborhood this isnt so bad!

I also need to find a center skid for FLM XL tvp's...I was holding my truck cleaning it up and dropped the darn thing onto the corner of my coffee table and it shattered the composite disc brake pads lol! :)

Luckily I had a set of extra metal discs and pads with the smaller dia. hex/trans output/cup so swapped tht stuff on there, braking is not as good but acceptable enough.

Integy has some on ebay right now $20.

Today i succeeded in bulletproofing my converted savage mega travel cvds. Then i ripped non stop power wheelies down the street. Now cleaning and charging savage while i set up my D815 for play.

I was thinking remote but meant to say charger, ive been hooking up electronics in friends truck and spent some time with it. had it on my mind. but that is nice!

No doubt I only have my Savage x converted to electric. But room to expand lol

Thank you little over $500 without the charger. I'll see about getting a video. Just ran it for like 5minutes then mother nature took over. That thing is wicked fast!

No looked for another one on eBay a couple times. But never bought another

You asked jvt73 so here you go let me know if you like to see more detailed pic's.

hello, i just signed up on this savage forum in hopes to get some helpful insight for my new savage build. i own 3 nitro monster trucks including a 3 month old mgt 8.0, savage x 4.6 with a lrpzr32 and a tmaxx 2.5. as well as i have about 20 rc trucks/buggies in my collection. however i just recently picked up a newer style savage x 4.6 with the 2.4g radio system for cheap because it needed alot of work.even though the k4.6 engine ran heres what i done to this truck within the 2 weeks i owned it...brand new lrp zr32 spec 4, all brand new plastics all the way around including wheelie bar, roll cage, both bumpers and shock towers. new cvd axles 4 corners, brand new hpi big bore shocks, brand new pre assymbled diffs front and rear with the heavy duty outdrives, new savox digital metal gear servos (2) spektrum SR3100 receiver, stainless steel dual disk brake set up,new wheel bearings all the way around.basicly this truck is a brand new truck, i also purchased a stainless steel hardware fastner set and replaced all screws i took out with them.this truck is gorgous so far.and i havnt even started the new engine up to break it in yet!!my question is..when i bought this truck the kid told me the trans wont poop into second gear.well his bell clutch was missing the screw that held it on, the flywheel nut was totally loose just clutch springs holding it on,and slipper clutch
was totally loose.but i tore the trans apart to see if there was any visual damage and only thing noticable is a crap load of metallic particals and trans was totally dry not even a little grease to coat the gears.i plan on purchasing a complete asstmbled trans.should i purchase the 3 speed xl trans or stick with the 2 speed?with the 4.37 horse lrp engine would that 3 speed be more benificial?or would it be a ticking time bomb with all that power? will the 3 speed handle the power as well as tghe 2 speed?thanks in advance

Welcome, my vote is, stick with the two speed. Break the motor in and let it eat. My two speed trany was hung up for at least two tanks before it free'd up and started working. I'm guessing that it had sat for awhile before I bought it. I'd clean out the old trany and inspect the internal clutch, there may be some metal shavings keeping the dog from sliding out. I use red n' tacky (Lucas) in my trany. Good luck & have fun. These guys on the forum are great and very knowledgeable!

THANK YOU VERY MUCH. I'm JUST GOING TO THROW THE K4.6 ENGINE BACK IN (SINCE ITS ALREADY BROKE IN AND TUNED) AND SEE HOW THE TRANS SHIFTS. IF ALL IS GOOD THEN ILL PUT THE LRP BACK IN AND BREAK IT IN. IF IT DOSNT FREE UP THEN I'm GOING TO ORDER A NEW ASSYMBLELD 2 SPEED THEN INSTALL THE LRP ENGINE,BREAK IT IN ..AND I SHOULD BE GOOD TO GO.

The k4.6 is a real good engine, I think it even has more power than th f4.6, good, strong mill.
YES I BELEIVE THE SPECS ON THE K4.6 IS 2.9HP AND THE F4.6 IS 2.75. WHEN I BOUGHT THIS SAVAGE IT HAD A "GO ENGINE .28" INSTALLED.THE COOLING FINS ON HEAD ARE BUSTED BUT HAS GREAT COMPRESSION AND RUNS GREAT. IT ALSO CAME WITH THE K4.6 ENGINE IN CLEAN SHAPE IN THE ORIGIONAL BOX WITH PAPERWORK AND PULL START.I HAVE ALREADY HAD THE NEW LRP ENGINE BECAUSE I WAS THINKING ABOUT INSTALLING IT IN MY ASSOCIATED MGT 8.0.BUT WHEN I STARTED TO THINK ABOUT IT...THATS KINDA STUPID BECAUSE MY MGT 8.0 IS BRAND NEW ONLY HALF GALLON RAN THROUGH IT.AND THAT ENGINE BURNS A GALLON PER HOUR.NO JOKE!SO WHEN I BOUGHT THE SAVAGE I SEEN THE PERFECT OPERTUNITY TO USE THE LRP FOR THE SAVAGE.ALTHOUGH I SEEN YOUTUBE VIDEOS ON THE SAVAGE XL WITH THE ZR28 AND 30 ENGINE AND EVEN THATS TOO MUCH! I THINK THE ZR32 IS GOING TO BE WAY TOO MUCH FOR THIS TRUCK.ANY THOUGHTS OUT THERE?
