Thought of using an Axial Yeti body to make my Savage get that rock racer look and stance:

That looks real clean. An old Dynamite .26 those were ok engines in the day. Not trying to be critical, but unless you are rock crawling your tires are on backwards.

Hahaha..nice didnt even notice that. Thanks..been so busy with rhe engine . took it apart more than a few times. Is a XTM 24.7 eng.Message_1613701289287.webp

I extended my Savage offset using custom-length hingepin braces. I also used custom arm spacers to prevent hingepin flex

I also used a custom axle allowing a direct buggy-style 17mm hex hubs without any modifications and adapters.74E5F173-6742-4F7A-91B3-5ADA3B497D21.webp561EDC62-19B2-4570-993A-B446D6DF2191.webp4F622F43-1D02-4049-8677-25CBBA7ECC30.webp9FEF6D79-6C6B-4249-8ECB-D018206A5775.webp

Also, where did you get the extended braces and what bones/cvd's are you running that fit it?

I never saw that type of setup before.
The extended braces are acustom-made and I use a longer CVDs (from a Tekno ET Truggy). I also had to change the diff cups for proper fitting of the CVD.

Do you guys think is worth upgrading savage parts to aluminum. I keep hearing trucky is too old n stuff. First gen savage.! Message_1613616742051.webp

This appears to be like the old OFNA micro failsafe's that I used many years ago:
https://www.amazon.com/Redcat-Racing-03028-Fail-Safe/dp/B002VMTOXO

You might be better off getting a new radio system though. Most 2.4ghz systems have a fail safe built in which send the servos to their "bind" position when signal is lost.

Something like this:
https://www.amazon.com/Spektrum-3-Channel-System-Protocol-SPMSLT300/dp/B08F2KD1N3

Or a dumborc one, manual says it has a fail safe mode:
https://www.amazon.com/DUMBORC-Transmitter-Receiver-Controller-400m-500m/dp/B07RR81GSB

I know the spektrums do as that's what I've been running for 10+ years. I'm running a DX5C at the moment, since I already had DSM2 receivers, it was compatible with those and has 20 model memory which gives you room for growth. I like having a screen to set radios up with anyway.

Looking to get a tuned pipe today any suggestions? Stock motor 4.6f
THS Racing has some nice ones. There is a anodized one that is duplicate of the 086, but its out of stock right now. I am running one on one of Savages with LRP 28 spec 4 and seems to improve the response through the entire rpm range. The have a polished one that I believe is the same.

Brand new LRP .28!

What did I do to my Savages today.
1st Replaced an old primer fuel tank on my K4.6 for a nice new tank, been having tuning problems with it, think the primer was letting air in to the system.
2nd Had to drill a hole through my nice new V2 wheelie Bar so could use the Rotostart properly (well thought out HPI).
3rd Been messing around trying cheap Chinese 17mm wheel extensions on STD axle shafts with great success.
