Had 3 of my Savages out today for a play, No.0,No.1 & No.2
No.0 being a standard .25(4.1cc) Orange Bounty Hunter
No.1 being a savage X F4.6 Blue Bounty Hunter
No.2 being an XL K5.9 Black pickup
All ran very well with the only damage being a new glow plug needed in No.1. Happy Days.

Happy Days Gazzman & they still look like they have just come out the box! 👍🏻
What is your chose of g/plug currently, as I have been using os 8 but see there over £10 now?

Oh yes, always happy when come home with no breakages. As for glow plugs I must confess I just use HSP No.3 or No.4 plugs in all my trucks, cheap and cheerful, Only reason the plug blow was had the mill leaned out abit to much, was running at 290F, so have richernd the mixtures a wee bit now..

Well they seem to last ok. but when you can get 3 for £17 don't mind a odd one here and know breaking down. Like I said the reason the F4.6 blow a plug was just the fact that I was running the mill to lean. and with a block temperature of 290f with No.3 plugs being hot plugs wasn't going to last long. Don't think they are as good as OS plugs but work ok for my needs. No.4 is the best allrounder being medium to hot.

Yes mate I reckon so. On another note, you asked me a couple of weeks back whether I have noticed a difference switching from 20% to 25% fuel and I must say yes I have. Mills seem to start better and they defo have a bit more punch.

Didn't have to do much to any of my models. On the F4.6 was able to lean it out quite abit on the HSN but ran very well with the settings as for the 20%, made all of my K5.9s run as they should where as on the 20% seemed very boggie and hard to tune. Haven't had to adjust the LSN on any of them. Only 2 left to get running good are both the K4.6HO mills, both of which haven't yet had 25% in them. It's a bit of a bummer that these mills are probmatic as these are my highest powered mills @ 3.95hp and would be nice to get 1 running good.
No.9 build is going well, but it's amazing how many little parts are missing to complete it when I thought I had all the bits. This build will probably get the Force 4.6 mill but have another K5.9 mill kicking around so it may get that one instead. Got to change the crank and block on this mill as crankcase inner bearing holder has broken up & the crank is pretty scored around the carb inlet. Have all the parts new to do this just being lazy at the moment. LOL.. But even with this damage this mill runs really great.

Good to hear not much adjustment needed as mine is running sweet, although have a fresh 5ltr of 20% to get through yet!
Treat your no9 build to the force mill, want to know what you think of it against the HPI version, Lol! 👍🏻

Humm, may put it in but would be nice to get this last K5.9 in a truck working good. I know the force 4.6 will run good plus can't be fluffed with all that running in crap with it. LOL

Had No.0 out today, Which is a bog standard Savage 25 on Dirt Bonz tyres,1st time out in 3 months . Started on the button and ran really well, no breakages and no tuning isuses. Popping wheelies like they're going out of fashion around the mid tank mark.

Happy Days Gazzman looking sweet as ever!
Been out with mine every day this week making the most before the rain comes!
Had a right blast with mine all week up my local park of two, with the rain we had the other week has helped dampen down the dust which has helped not getting the truck covered in dust!

Yes the bit of rain we had did make a huge difference to the dust. Didn't even have to clean it when I got it home, which was nice. Need to get a few of the others out for a run before the weather changes just getting abit bored running them round the same park. Used to have an old pitch & putt near the last place I lived, now that was a fun place to run.

Well got out with No.3 & No.4 today, Both trucks are running K4.6HO mills and to shock they both ran really well. normally these 2 K4.6 mills are nightmares to get running good but today they both ran faultlessly even got No.3 doing wheelies which was a real surpise as this truck is an ally brick, never fitted a wheelie bar to this one as never dreamed it would ever get the front up due to the weight. Happy Days.

How have you attached the lights to the v2 bumpers mate. On the blue truck it looks like you have cut the mounting part off the old bumper and screwed it to the new one. Would I be right in thinking this.
I have a few sets of these v2 bumpers and was surprised that they didn't have the mounting points. Got a round this by screwing directly into the back of the lights on one truck & on the other using long screws and going up through the bottom of the bumper.

Hi, yes I salvaged the mounting part off V1 bumper and dremeled it then mounted it directly to the V2. Thought of doing the same thing by mounting it similar to yours but I wanted to use old V1 mounts as they line up perfectly.

So….I’ve been looking for streering upgrade for my X Flux V2. should I go full aluminum crank assembly? And why are they ALL in China?? Lol Oh and what CVDs would work with V2 , the axle cups are updated since it comes with 17mm hex, all I find are the earlier model version CVDs…

Well that decision is totally up to you, I have both the Full Ally and the Half ally on my trucks. The full ally obviously look better, but the half ally works great and if not worried about bling than stick with it. The best upgrade you can do to the steering is replace the 4 plastic bushes in the ends of the steering posts with bearings, get a metal servo horn & most important get a decent servo, I use 35kg in all my trucks.

So i lost a screw that ties the left and right together….one of the “step” screws for the long rod…,so I figured for the same $20 I’d go aluminum. But I’m seeing to keep stock and do bearings…,

So today see as the weather has been crap & that I'm a sad old git & this issue has been bugging me since I put these truck together, I decided to change the TVPs over on my 2 Truckzillas. The reason for doing this was that although both trucks are Hotbodies Truckzilas they have different TVPs. I think one is a Truckzilla Sport. the silver ones (this being the sport) are higher at the rear and wouldn't allow for the rear exit manifold to fit correctly, the manifold had to face up making the pipe sit to high. These trucks originally had a 4.6 cu in(7.5cc) mill which had side exit exhausts. The Gold TVPs are lower at the rear but was running these with a rear twin pipe. Also had to notch out the chassis on the silver set to allow the mill to fit nice, think this is because the spur gear is a 52T which pushes the mount all the way over to the right.
Anyway both trucks are now back together and must say now happy with both of them.

Changing to bearings and doing away with them plastic bushes will make the steering fell alot better. It works out cheaper to look the size up and get them off a bearing supplier off eBay. They are 6 x 10 x 3mm.
