Sorry to see that happen...I have a good bit invested in my tools as I also wrench on my custom motorcycles. People sometimes skimp on the inexpensive ones, but when you have quality tools you can tell the difference...you strip less screws, round less bolts, ect...its worth it to invest in the good stuff.

Nice thread Xtreme..
I never took the time to show too much of the carnage I sustained during my airial displays.
Probably cuz I had a hair up my A$$ to have it rebuilt and ready to bash so I could sleep at night.
Either that, or I did'nt want the world to see the metal bendage in case I were to post it on E-bay...hehe

It's nice to know that the tvp's, role pins, skid plates, ect. can be saved with a hammer and a flat surface or two.
Clean out all the stripped composite threading with rubbing alcohol, let dry, and the then fill the threaded holes with superglue.
Let glue dry for 48 hours, and then retap the holes to the desired size.

Of course, you already new that.

For the rest of the $$....
Did you know that Hobbytown is our friend? hehe
Thankx for the confession.
Show us the before and after.
Keep on bashin.

I haven't posted here in a long time, but this is important. I got a new radar gun and decided to have my 13yr old daughter shoot the truck. I got loose in some dirt and she didnt move. Results 4 stiches. Please do not be stupid like me and recruit your kids to stand in front of a 13lb 40mph missile. These trucks are dangerous.

Ouch! Sorry to hear that, I hope she heals quickly.
It's easy to forget how dangerous these "toys" can get.

Ouch, I hit mine at a Monster Jam show with my truggy at full speed back in January. I was on the brakes just before it got me so it was side ways. I started to lift my foot so all my weight wasn't on it but it it about the same spot your daughter got hit and was sure it was broke, never went in and it got better but i limped around for at least a week and hurt for 4 months when anything hit it. I had to wear loose shoes. It's all better now but I have to agree be careful. They hurt bad.

Glad she is alright other than some pain and a little work.

ouch Jimmy.

i know youre wishing that it hit your face and not her foot only caz my (then 4 year old) son got a SEVERE burn on both legs when my nephew's savage flipped & took four wierd, redirecting bounces & hit his legs.

i wished it took my eye out instead of burning his leg.

wow grump, glad it wasnt worse, hopefully she heals soon, and alot of people have been asking about u so its nice to see ya on!!!

Dang that was a bad one. Hope she heals fast and don't blame you. The ppl at parks are tarded twords these things I'm finding out. They see you doing your thing full speed runs ect and still get closer and closer till your running in a 20ft circle. Just to keep from hitting them. Maybe they need to see your daughters picture. Busy of luck on the healing process. Bet its killing you inside to see her hurt from something you did. Even if by accadent. Good luck. And nice to see you around again.

Same thing with my 450 heli Max. Kids come running right over to it as if they are going to try and touch it. I don't like flying with people around at all let alone with kids right next to it, all it takes is one mechanical failure and somebody is going to get hurt. Failures aren't uncommon with those things and they are quite dangerous but people just don't realize.

Ever since I wiped out Tim's boy at NITROMITE's track last year, we've got downright paranoid about kids near the track. Guy even put up child warning signs at the track for the big bash day last weekend. And I'll tell you, it doesn't even have to be your own kid. I felt like a total poop all day after seeing the little guy go down. Watching the video still makes me feel like a heel.

Hope she heals up without too much of a scar. Although, my Dad always used to tell me scars were character-building. Of course, he said the same thing about head injuries, so I'm not sure if I'd take that at face value.

daddyduck was videoin' when a guy being stupid it him in the foot with a Sportwerks Mayhem at about 45 or 50 mph. it pushed his big toe INSIDE his foot and the Bone out the top....these things are dangerous in the wrong hands..........

just to show the seriousness of this subject....here are a few vids to prove his point and i totally agree with him. please be careful.

This is what happened to my trans when my cb screw backed out on me. After inspecting everything the result was from me being a noob and forgetting to put a dab of threadlock on it.

actually i don't think you need thread lock on the cb screw. i don't use it anyways. i used to but bank ( i think) steered me clear of it and i haven't went back. Crazy carnage tho!

I went to the track today with the savy to get some nitro racing in but turnout was low today so I ended up helping the guys work on the track some and bashed the poop outta it. The only damage was the body.
