What would you recommend for 3s batteriesDo you want to run more safe (4S) or most speed (6S)?
I go with safe and run 4S. Still plenty fast with whatever gearing I'm running and I don't overheat. I use SMC 7400mah 2S, SMC 9000mah 2S and SMC 9500mah 2S packs in mine. The 7400's are lighter, so puts less stress on big air landings while only losing 5 minutes or so of run time compared to the 9000's. All 3 require a decent chunk of foam in the front/rear of the battery trays to keep them from banging around.
Ok thanks for the helpSorry, can't say as I only run 2S packs. SMC makes good packs though, so I'd go there. They have measurements of everything and I know they are going to be coming out soon with some nice 3S higher capacity packs (7200 I think) for the Revo 2.0. If they fit in the revo, they will fit in the savage saddles.
I get about 28 minutes on the 7200 2S packs and 34 minutes on the 9000mah 2S packs. I time every single session since my radio has a timer on it. Just so I get a good idea as to how the batteries are doing.I run the 7200 3s smc packs in my flux and they are insane never timed my run times but there north of 35 minutes great batteries.
Nah, just a spektrum DX3C. It lets you put the timer on the screen as a main item for each model you program and also set it to a button. So for all my electric RC's, I have it on the screen and tied to the 3rd channel switch so I can quickly/easily toggle it and reset it. Now it's just habit. Even my micro-t... although, been so long since I ran it, I can't remember how long it runs. lolI also recommend the smc batteries. I run the 2s 7200 and they work great. I used to run 2s 5000. They did well but they did not run as long as I would of liked .
@olds97_lss I thought you had a flysky gt3b. Is that what you use to get your run times?
Do you have to modify the battery traysI run the 7200 3s smc packs in my flux and they are insane never timed my run times but there north of 35 minutes great batteries.
Are you using the side saddle holders or in main frame?Do you want to run more safe (4S) or most speed (6S)?

Saddle holders. I did break the mounts once. I replaced the mounts on the ends with heavy angle iron and when I put the mounts back on the bottom, I took the TVP's off and used larger diameter/longer course threaded screws to give them more strength. I have landed much larger jumps since I broke them and haven't had an issue since. Are you using the side saddle holders or in main frame?
I guess I double posted. If an admin can delete the second post that would be great.
You aren't using battery trays can you post more pictures of the car to see well how you mount the lipos? or any link where you read about the idea?I'm not sure of you do I'm not running battery trays. This is my setup u use thanks to the awesome idea from tweaked.
thanks, but all the pictures of the post are very blury, could you post any picture of your car? This is the link I got my ideas from thanks tweaked! https://www.hpisavageforum.com/threads/my-new-savage-flux-conversion-alot-of-pics.15003/
