I know. I just can't wait till the truck is here. I should be cutting the TVP's next Saturday or Friday night. Hopping to get it assembled the week after this with all the new parts.

have you designed your own template for the carbon fibre? Can we take a little peak at how its going to turn out????
 
Well everything arrived yesterday except for the ceramic Diff and steering bearings which may be a few days. Now I just gatta get the CF parts cut. Planning for Saturday morning for them then its tear down and re-assembly. At that time I will install the bearings and shim the diffs better and will put this thing on my 3pm at that point. O an ya I have to order the RSC's yet when funds are available.

Took it out for a quick drive last night at 11pm. Deff gatta go into the program tonight and do some playing. Also the shock oil needs changing they're to springy. Does anyone happened to know what the stock shock oil is?

Anyhow you've all seen them but here it is anyway. I gatta have a starting point.

Here is the 2.4ghz stock HPI radio. It's cheep but a great start to go to 2.4 on OEM truck. The receiver is absolutely tiny, it's less than half the size of my 3PM receiver's and less than 1/4 the size of all the 27mhz stuff. I'm not sure why the antenna is so long for this guy compaired to other 2.4 systems but o well.

First mods were to shave the front hubs to gain steering radius and I installed the 1/2" wider XL shafts to gain 1" width.

She isn't this perdy anymore, has a little road rash, LOL. You can see in the last pict the CF look alike wing although you cant tell it looks just black in the package with this camera and the lighting. The body is very wide but will fit nicely with the 1/2" wider axles and 1/2" offset wheels. I guess we will see.

There is your starting base... cant wait to see this pans out.... You should shim your tranny... i had loads of play in mine... I just reshimmed it today... Feels so smooth! I'm looking at the same wing... just waiting for postage costs before paying for it and the wing stay... once i have confirmation, i will buy the PRC Wing mount... ARGHHH I'm trying to put it off cause i will have nothing left to buy.....

Anyway.. sorry about talking rubbish... keep us posted!
 
looking good larsen. stock oil does suck, i like 30 35 with the stock big bores. seems to work for me. that thing is gonna look purdy with all the CF!

Jason any news on your new ESC?
Also how long should i expect to wait for my carbon wing stay to arrive in the UK?????? Getting itchy fingers!
 
Good point. The new ESC will be on it's way by Monday for sure if it's not already.

The stay should be there with in 10 business day.

Well she is pretty much together. Needs the ESC mounted, battery box's installed and electronics hooked up and lower bulkhead plate and bumper installed. The body is being painted currently, it will be pretty simple but will work. The BP diffs where shimmed very good as they were. I did clean and refill them with 5000 in front and 7000 rear. I think it came along very well. Here are a few shots of it. Threw assembly, I would have had more but the cam battery is dead and the wife miss-placed the charger.

Well i'm still waiting on a charger for the camera to get here otherwise I would have some updated pictures here. Bryan said he was going to get the Batterys shipped Monday afternoon or Tuesday for sure so hopping they come before the weekend. If HPI shipped the ESC like they said they would by Monday then I should see that with in the next day or 2.
 
Well I received the Packs today. Thank you Bryan at SMC. I will also get some pictures of where I am at tomorrow and get them posted.
