Looking good.

What do plan on doing for a body?

I myself just did a conversion from my savage 25. I will say I ordered a dynamite 086 pipe and for the price it really works well.

Not sure what body I want yet, is that the same as the ofna 086 pipe? cause I think that is the one I'm looking to get. How are you enjoying your truck?

I need some help with the break install.
according to the XL manual I should only be using 4 washers 2 on each screw one in front and one in back. Ok I have 2 extra silver washers I assume they are spares for the break screws. I also have two bigger black washers which I have no clue where they go as the XL manual does not show these washers on the break install. When I took the parts out to the bag there was one black washer and one silver washer in the drive cup, but not sure if that is where they go as they could have fell in there during packing. I bought this break set on ebay, it's new and was taken off of an XL so it was shipped in a zipploc bag with no instructions.

thanks ulua

bump, need help on this, thanks

The black ones go nearest to the transmission and the silver goes on the screw head exterior. You can use it it when the brass on the brake cam/piston starts to wears out.

man thats really coming alone!! its gonna be sweet when its done!! keep us updated!! lol

Thanks guys, all that's left for me to buy is my steering servo, pipe and shell.

Will be purchasing Hitech 7955 servo, ofna 086 pipe and I don't know what body I will get.

if you think about it, you built an XL from scratch. i had the same thoughts with my 21, but in reality i didn't use one piece from the 21.

truck is looking good ulua. do i see an original savage gas tank with a primer? if i do watch those closely for air leaks. can cause tuning issues and i wouldnt want to see you burn up a new lrp.

LOL, yah exactly. I think the only parts I used from my 21 was the gas tank, screws and part of my linkage. I may end up rebuild my 21 again LOL.

Ok I know this is stupid, but I'm not sure if I installed my ofna pipe properly. here are some pics.

Replaced original LRP exhaust gasket with an HPI gasket

Ok, is the exhaust supposed to be facing out like this? If I match the flat part at the end of the header with the flat part from the pipe, it causes the pipe to face out wards, but it looks like I have to match the flat part so the small spring holes match. is this right or is there another way to do this?
