Matt you are making me feel guilty. That wheelie bar has always been a part of your creations and would be a memorabilia that I (in your shoe) would find it hard to part with. In any event let me know what you would like to do. Thanks again!

gotta get er DIRRRRRRRRTTTYYY!!!

When are you hoping to take take the truck out???

I want to see you vids on this baby......kinda like my next build i want to do.

Joseph Paul will be with you for its first run. Make him proud!

can't wait to see the video of this beast.. keep the pics coming!

Joe you need to get that thing dirrty! When is it going to be completed???

I have checked and it looks like the engine and pipe will arrive approx May 14th according to USPS and Canada Post. I want to just slap on another engine but this truck will make its first run with the dedicated engine and pipe. I know we love to see videos and the completed build, so I to myself am sorry for the delay. I'm sure to complete it before his anniversary.

If you have any recommendations of the build at any point to improve its handling and performance, do not be ashamed to give me pointers. Thanks guys for the support.

joe send it my way... ill test it 🙂 and tell you where its letting you down 🙂 2 week count down before the motor arrivess

:lmao4: Sounds good but you might practice running your truck into mine. LOL. You have a nice monster bro and you can only have one not two.

Turning radius

I was testing the travel of the steering and notice it was not doing to well. If you are using the stock steering crank, FLM48000 Drag Link and the suspension conversion you need to trim a little of the crank as it limits the throwout when turning to the left. Turning right is not a problem. This is the run down.

Stock Crank which is the #5 in the set.

The PROBLEM. Cranks walls limited the left turn.

This is how it looked at the suspension conversions side without the the crank being filed. Yes the servo spring was tensioned.

I filed the excess walls off until the RSC was able to make the intended turning radius. No loss of integrity. Not integy LOL

This is the result of the crank being filed. Full left turn.

Nice work, clear pics simple write up! +rep!
don't experience this with stock but i guess it will help all flm users out there.
Joe you seen my new body????? just finished painting it today!

i just replied to your post in my thread lol... these little convos just take up space in your build ups don't they lol

I'm in the process of writing a big essay for tomorrow... looks like an all nighter... Watching that vid livened me up a lot! Great clean build man! Great beat too haha! You have one extremely clean build.
I was never going to get FLM shock towers... but the bulks and shock towers with the RSC looks sooooo GD!!! i will prob upgrade my bulks at some point as they should handle the torque of my brushless motor. Last thing i want is any flex in that area causing my ring and pinion to rip apart!

NICE VID BUDDY!

I liked the chorus most "You could go with THIS or you could go with THAT". Due to recent knowledge, I think for minimal repair time and quick access GH bulkhead is the way to go. I will be replacing some of the alloy parts when I run it and save it for show. Those alloy parts will only take five minutes at the most to remove and replace with the plastics. Thanks and I have another video in the works.

With the Phatlines it was 9.8 LBS.

Bandlands with HPI 17mm Dish wheels it was 10.6 LBS.

My son loves Monster Trucks, Elmo, and Lions. The design theme was matching the pipes sound output and my sons sound effect he always did "LION ROAR".

looks awesome Joe! Definatly the nicest pipe i have ever seen! I should order one now

Keep up the great build!

Dude nice pipe and motor adds a lot of meaning to a savage

My breath was taken away when I opened the box and seen it for the first time. I have to put it all together and wrap the build up. I still have some adjustments to do before I let it rip.

Pitch your idea to Robin (AKA Purenitro), and he can see what to do for yall.
