The modding itch, that's what you call it! I got it too Crash, just not the skill or know how required. Man I would love to see my savy pull the wheels going into second, it's a dream of mine.

It never does it on pavement, just in the grass

I giggled too, 2 nd gear wheelie. nice

I love mee savy

I WILL SHOW YOU GRASSHOPPER

O'YA these stock shoes are toast.

They are barely going to make one gallon

I will give it some NOVA'S now http://www.novarcproducts.com/clutchshoes.html

They did not make it through a gallon.

I took the cb off to inspect them again and they were worn down to the springs.

I switched them out for some used shoes I had sitting around and they worked for a tank and now they are dragging so, I'm going to the lhs today for shoes

The engine seems to be broke in now. one gallon of fuel is gone through it

alright, put a set of new stock hpi shoes on

forgot I had them from my street savy

also switched up the gear combo

before: 47/18 2.61

now: 52/17 3.05

Its a little low for this mill but, its fuuuunnnnnnnnnnnnn!!!!!!!!!!

In conclusion of my first gallon:

I would say this mill has more torque than the .28 rr spec1 but has less topend, IMO

I increased the slot width in the engine plate

the engine is up against tvp now as far as it will go

How did you get 52/17 to fit .. I have a hard time w/ 52/16 ..

I have been running an 18/52 for the last 8 months. Slotted engine plate, and slight modification of the engine mount... but it fits. When I went to Savvvy 25 TVP's I had to grind a relief for the flywheel, but it fit okay in the X TVP's.

52/18 would be better, 52/17 hits pretty hard off the line and runs out of rpm's on the top

would a 49/17 work the engine the same way a 52/18 would?

thanks metal,

Its never got over 188 degrees, when it warms up it little more snappy of the line

I need a camera man for that shot Jermey.

as you could see that video was shot in the small yard behind my shop.

I never saw second gear.

One thing for sure, I don't bs,. across the field behind my house a saw second gear wheelies from this mill with a 49/17 gear and stock hpi shoes.

now I'm 52/17 so the power is alot lower in the powerband, still lots of fun

just tuneing, I found that it needs alot of fuel on the highspeed needle

but, needed a 3/4 turn in on lowspeed needle

also, be sure to use a cold plug

and 30% nitro

gear down a little for hard hitting wheelies
