ok,

Back to the mill, I ran it today it's about 28 degrees out so not a good

time to test & tune but, I wanted to try a different air inlet on the carb

went from 8 to 8.5 I did not see much difference so, I tryed no inlet

insert at all, this opens the carb inlet alot.

This definitly seemed to give it more power and retaining the same temp, its incredibly fun to drive.

started a new wheelie bar setup lastnight

The last two I made were out of aluminum, they just get beat to death

and don't seem to last after they are bent once.

so, I made this design out of two upper a arms.

Nice job on the wheely bars they look clean to very good job w/o/t with them bad boys good luck thanks...

got to do some testing on the wheelie bar, it works perfect

its awesome to here it changeing gears rideing a wheelie.

I been tryn to see what I can squeeze out of the mill,

bought some 33% nitro

took a shimm out of the head

went with a hotter plug

It ran great, cant wait to run again today. we are expecting more snow

havn trouble finding dry ground for wheelies, lol

hey crash where did you get thoughs tie rods at?
how much?
and are they strong?

ok, I have had these for a short while, broke two bent one.

I cant stress it enough, go titanium here or stick with stockers

Crash, just a heads up buddy, increasing the nitro and removing a head shim will lead to pre-detonation. If not I bet it runs like a bat out of hell! Check your head for pitting just to be sure.

thanks Ill watch that.

and yes it runs crazy. Its too fast on the street, uncontrolable

Once up to top speed your still on two wheels.

I must be cursed, did two short videos.

deleted them during editing. I was tryn to cut out the boring back and forth
stuff and leave in the wheelies and high speed passes.

Maybe I can get the mrs. to hold the camera today, its 47 outside.
pretty nice.

I have to upgrade my shoes, this setup is going to tear throgh the stockys

Excuses, excuses, excuses..........LOL J/K. By the way, how'd the P&P turn out on the K4.6?

the 4.6k is sittn in a box waitnig for me and the dremel

I have been really havn fun with the axial. too busy to mod the hpi

soon though, thanks for asking

axial piston & sleeve R.I.P.

Yes, I lost the pinch today on the axial I modded. (stop laughing) all is

not lost , I know exactly what happen. And I put my spare engine in and

finished my bash session before tearing the mill down for inspection.

The sleeve I modded was my first, and knew some of the things not

to do. Well, I went to far on the ports and the cylinder material got

too thin near the edge (inner wall of sleeve)

When the engine was up to temp and ran hard like I had for a week.

The sleeve wall deteriorated in a couple of places. That metal tore up my

sleeve, thus loosen my pinch.

I am not discouraged from modding I intend to order a piston & sleeve for it

and have another go at it. LIVE & LEARN

I'm with ya Crash. I can't wait to get my hands on another motor. Just got the tax return so my wheels are turning! Good luck with the next one!

Hey Dude Live And Learn Now You Know What Your Doing.the Beast Will Return Even Bader Then Ever .. Just Think More Compression And Modded Lock Out .. Good Luck

Nah one mill that went south does not equate failure by a long shot. Now when you get all your mills doing that with the sleeves, its time to rethink some strategies. :hardlaugh:

it ran so great after the mod. I know what not to do next time.

just need some dough so I can order a nother sleeve to grind on.

the piston looks fine but, I would feel better with a new set pisto/sleeve

Yeah, definitely want to grab a new piston too. The metal shavings could have made small grooves and pricks in the piston that might damage your new sleeve.

Crash, didn't you do the Cen diff upgrade? If so, you don't need to add "the dent" under the ring gear. I noticed when I did my upgrade that the cen diff ring sits inside the diff housing. Just some info for ya.

Thanks Extreme,
My cen upgrade is only halph done. Its on the shelf rite now on hold.

I got busy with makn skids, porting and rebuilding my nephews Rustler.

Crash, here is a pic from when I had my truck apart so you can see that the Cen ring gear clears the plate. Best pic I could get.
