Wives know just how to tug at your heart strings don't they.

Mrs. brought home a gift today for me taking her to a play.

she remembered me saying I wanted a carbon fiber tvp and she went
down to LHS and bought them on her own.

Too bad she didn't know about Platinum RC products, that part stinks but,
anyway they are very nice and fit like a glove. already put it all back together
and had a great bash session.

The TVP weight difference is approx 2 oz. lighter than stock

Thanks

I know it will go alot faster it only got up to 180 degrees

and I put the road rage back on. maybe Ill try again tommarow, I want to pass 40 at least.

the k is not known for its topend, my axial would scare me at top speed.

It's so cool and easy to use. It will make a good shell really stand out and give it a custom look. :drunk:

Alright finally got the k good and broke in.

time to port & polish

I want to thank everyone who has posted on tips on in my P & P threads

It has helped alot, this sleeve will have a different porting than the last k
I did.

I started it, sounds great. although its raining here in the windy city so, cant test it.

I expect to see 1o % power gain and longer run times

got to run it today

ran great, not a huge gain imo

it needed some adjustments on the lowend needle and it pulled
pretty hard. But, like I said not a huge gain.

I will go at this for a stage 2

crank work

Crash, truck looks great. Looks like you did a very good job. I like the idea of the fuel tubing on the cooling head and I'm going to go and do that. I have a question about the clear plastic around the TVP. When you get the skid plate on, will the plastic restrict cooling air to the motor and make the motor run higher temps.

just got done bashing

my neighbor came out ( he owns a s max)

he cant believe how fast the truck is from last year

:jamout:

You should port and polish my AE.50 LOL

I would love to see the porting on that, Ill try to find it.

I don't think that setup needs much ,more power, just a pipe maybe.

My thoughts exactly. I am in the process of trying to get a pipe designed for the MGT by a specific maker... I cant say more than that

I went back into engine.

I worked the crank over, the K has no scoops in the crank in its stock form
so, I added four scoops. I just ran it for about 5 min. definitely woke this thing up, I will run a couple tanks through it after work. also, Ill strap the GPS back on for some solid feed back on power change since P & P

Thanks for checking out my Savy

Dude your definitely getting good at this. I wish I had the balls! lol

"You got them , use em!"

Just Joking of course. I am learning on a inexpensive sport class engine.

I only paid 109 dollars (aprox.)

This is my third P & P and the only bad thing so far was my own fault,
I was useing too big of a grinding bit on my axial sleeve and went to deep
and removed the edge of a port, which eventually deteraturated and ruined the pinch.

but, all the porting and crank work has brought power out of my engines.

I am trying to perfect this mill in particullar because it sooo cheap and can benifet from P & P .

The racing mills are mostly ported and require timing changes to get more power.

peace!

thanks SD
