96.72947% of the world's LiPo batteries are manufactured in Main Land China. 100% of those batteries are shipped through Hong Kong. :) Maybe my math is off a bit, but I would be you have access to more optionso then us.
4s should be within the range of popping wheelies. Yes, you will get more out of 6s. But your Tranny will absorb some of the power, as I'm sure you know. But your biggest problem is your discharge rating on those batts. 30c is extremely low for the application (aka weight of your savage)...
Actually, you have the original beast there. the Savage 21. You can tell by the red'ish Shock springs.
The Savage SS had Purple springs, and the Savage 25 was released with black springs.
OH DAM... I knew something wasn't right. I see threads talking about ONFA design companies going away or doing something else. Also that they were going out of business, but their site is still live and active. I still remember the first rc Hobby grade TV commercial of a Jammin Buggy from...
Roger that, my perception could be way off. It's also tied to other things, like buying Savvy kits as well. I don't see a lot of stock. Nothing like 2005 or 06. Every LHS had them. But again my perception may be off. I appreciate the links.
I'm debating between 2 LRP .28 from Omnimodels...
Already done before reading your post. Again thanks for your suggestions, also for the kind words. It was the first time I ever was rob. They could keep it all, I really only want a DV video tape that was left in one of my tool boxes. But still sucks.
I did say "somewhat". :) I'm bothered that AMain doesn't list the .32, or have any stock for the .28 or .30. Then I looked at ebay, and not a great selection of vendors. As compared to a few years ago. I'm feelings could be very much off base.
Hi Mike,
Thanks for the suggestions. I see these Argus are made or affiliated with Alpha's and Go's. I bought a few Go's about 5 or 6 years ago. I was rob a few years back, and they stole 2 that were not even unboxed.
Are these Argus engines good to go? I like the price, but now I just...
Hey guys,
What is the current suggestion on Servos? I Need both steering and throttle servos. What manufacturers are the best value? Maybe, Manufacturers, should I stay away from?
Thanks for the time and support,
Nick
+1 for Air compressor. But I use MOO-Kleen by CowRC! The stuff works, I spray that stuff on, hit the truck with water and Air compressor. Easy and fast. If I want something from the store I use Simple Green and water with a few brushes from the auto-parts store and old toothbrushes. It...
Well, Here I go again. I wrote this same thread two years ago (https://www.hpisavageforum.com/threads/what-engines-for-late-2014.14517), and one before that 5 years ago. I have 2 Savages we are rebuilding, and need some engines. What is out there these days? I see that A-Main doesn't have...
Hey Jay,
Is this the pipe you have?
THS8025 1/8 Savage .25-.28 Engine Tuned Exhaust System
THS825H- Savage .25 Hard Coated Pipe Set
Looking to re-build some old savages, and need engines, pipes, and clutches. Starting to price everything out. It looks like Nitro, and monster trucks are...
I can't agree with you more, I hate this Orange Paint. Also, good idea about the X radio box.
Well here is some progress. I was hoping to complete by Christmas, but homework and work got in the way...
Tear down is complete:
Cleaning underway:
Other then bent screws and TVPs, the...
Thanks, but they are just painted uppers. The plan is to remove the ugly paint. I do question if you all have seen people do this before? I personally hate it.
Roger on the alloy cups. I hope to be rebuilding the diffs in the next few days. that is if we can get the parts in. we will see...
Hello all,
A few months ago I was kicking around the idea to buy my kids some Savage X SS kits. They have been wanting to get into the hobby, and I have been wanting to get back into myself, again. I was thinking that would be a good way of doing it. After looking at costs, and all the...
Perfect the only reason why i asked is I always did shim my diffs in the past. Now working on my kids trucks, I knew I had to research for the part numbers and the How To's again, since it been over 5 years the last time I did this work. Now half the search is over, and probably place an...
