    The X style towers can be modded to fit on the old style bulkheads. I have done it on one of my trucks because the newer towers seem a bit stronger and don't flex as much when using the LST shock mount kit.

    Higher CB teeth count and lower spur teeth count for speed..with what you listed you have... 17/47 would be the fastest combo you have in your hands.

    Thanks 4x4, I had forgotten about the first Savage SS .25, it did come with a ribbed pipe, sorry for my misinformation in my eariler post.

    After seeing the pics that is a hotbodies truckzilla chassis (TVP) which means it is extended 1" over stock, also that is a HPI ribbed pipe that was not a standard part on any savage, the radio box is old style and you got a good deal for 100 bucks.

    If I followed what you described, does it look like this? Plugged psi port on pipe Filtered tank inlet I have heard of this being used before, I have broken a pipe in the field before and wasnt able to attach a psi line to the pipe, I kept running with out pressure to the tank...

    For the front mount, I used an engine brace to supports the steering posts and the tank. The rear is supported by a cut down modified old style savage upper a arm.

    I am using Byrons 30%, been using it for a few years with very good luck and performance.

    It is a great mod and is night and day in difference on the steering. It is done to all of mine slightly different than FX but the same idea.
