Hey guys I have a savage xs and love this truck. But every time I tend to take it for a bash session. I destroy the slipper pads. When I open up the diff casing I can see green pad material all over the place. Do any of you have the same problem and if so how to prevent it.

P.s I only run it on 2s LiPo batteries

There are already MANY posts about this.

My current slipper is on pack 5. I added a shim to the shafts and tightened the nut all the way down. Seems to be working pretty well so far.

My slipper lasted 20 packs or so IIRC?? Car took a lot of abuse but not running very continually each time...

Have you tried trimming up a fiberglass brake disc from a savage, thick, hard leather works good, and even gasket material, from automotive parts store

better buy more than one set....lol
hopefully this is a sign that HPI are finially going back into the part production business again.
I need a fuel tank

What happens when you replace the slippers and the pos still don't run its driving me crazy all I hear is the gears spinning but truck is not moving

or a lost pin on an output cup

sux that the truck has to be torn apart to do most maintenence....lol glad i got rid of mine

Output cups are on the transmission shafts and the diff shafts, they are held on with setscrews, a look through the manual will be your best source of information

I don't think it's the diffs or a missing pin or a set screw on an output shaft. The thing isn't moving at all. If he was missing one of those it would still move.
