Usually also a pen spring in the center of the starter shaft that presses against the housing that keeps the starter shaft pushed into the engine. You can see it in the photo here:

I don't know if roto starts need that or not. I've only had pull-starts and the ones with the OWB inside the engine with a starter shaft like that have always had a spring.
I don't know if either of those will fit your stuff though. Was just posting examples of what remains. You may also need a gasket for the back plate. I don't know what came with yours.
