I drive a 2004 WRX STI. The car has gone threw some changes from it's strock form.

First group of mods were aimed at making more power and getting better responce out of the stock hardware. The car has always looked to be stock on the outside, thats the best part of building a street monster.

Some pics of the first stage of mods.

Mods were:
IHI VF22 turbo
Perrin shortram intake
Turbo XS turbo back exhaust with high flow cat
GT spec 2 header
PE 850cc injectors
UTEC engine managment

The dyno chart is auto scaled to the WHP and WTQ don't cross at 5250 RPM.

With this setup the car was really torque and have no turbo lag, but I was wanting more. 289 WHP and 362 WTQ are alot for a street car, just not one of mine. I was on a quest for 400 WHP and my next set of mods would put me where I wanted to be.

I went to the 2005 EVO vs STI shootout at Englishtown NJ. I had a great time but it was HOT as hell and all the cars were slower than normal. My best was 12.926 @ 104.56 MPH, not as good as I wanted. Still I qualified as one of the 10 fastest Subaru's there and made it to the head to head racing where most of the really fast factory backed cars were.

Guess what, after 4 months, 400 WHP just isn't enough anymore. So I am on a mission to make double that with my next round of mods, yes 800 WHP out of a 4 banger!

Well seeing the R1 in my previous reply to this post is scrap metal. I picked this car up and started making some upgrades. Under the hood doesnt look like alot from the pics but there is almost 10 grand in labor and parts. If its nice this weekend ill take some pics of the new front end showing off the intercooler

Actually it will still be a street car, just not my DD. My DD is a company owned F150. I'm a lucky bastid, not only do they pay for the insurance and the gas I can drive the truck on my days off too :jamout:

wow cool!! ya mines not to hopped up yet I'm doing little by little! lol 79 was the last year they made the camaro with the crome bumper! when i bought it it had a four gear in it which is cool so i left that alone lol i want to do the s 10 progect at some point! whats that u say? well thats when u put a 8 cylinder 350 small block in it instead of the little 6 banger and it drops right in without any modifications but theres no room left barely! and man will it smoke the tires!!!:Xjeep: P.S...... USED TO OWN A 79 T BIRD AS WELL BUT WAS FALLING APART! LOL
