well after about a tank and a half of fun today i dumped the rear bearing of the surefire :stressed:

i'm not sure but it looks like i lost alot of balls, but i only dropped 2 out when the crank came out. i didn't see any noticable gouges in the block or anything. this sucks expecially since just about a gallon and a half ago i just replaced the con rod and one way bearing bracket.

i have about 4 gallons in this puppy. the bearing is $30 from stormer hobbies (the last time cost me about $50 to fix). so should i try to repair again or just cut my losses and try to get something else? if i do replace is this the one where i heat the block to get out?

i almost want to just get a new savy xl (running a 25 now), but i'm alittle scared of the 5.9, isnt it made but the same company as the surefire and axial? is this something i should worry about or is it just me not being able to tune properly?

well for now i have some :cussing: to take care of 🙂

thanks fellas

Cut your looses bro trust me I have the same thing happem with ever surefire I have owned .. even the new .32r .. been threw like 4 of them.. there bearing suck for sure .. get a .28 man

The .28 and .32 use the same bearings, I would upgrade the bearings before you even start one, I have seen them fail with less than a gallon on them.

Thanks Jeremy!

yep that's kinda what i was thinking as well.

any suggestions?
I wanted a picco but with banks video on youtube they are all sold out 🙂
maybe lrp .28?

I'll probly end up getting another pipe as well. I'm on the Buku right now but I think this thing is way too advanced for me. I just don't have the time to dial it all in.
Are the ofna 086 and the dynamite 086 the same pipe? just differant headers?

Thanks

Thanks purenitro!
Aren't these are all the same problems as the axial line?
so the k5.9 I might be running into the same thing?

I would have done so if I knew any better but as much as I paid for this sucker I figured it was a good mill :duh: oh well live and learn..it happens
