nope it had no rebound when compressed, I'm guessing i just hit the couch just right and it being 30* out didnt help either. it was also filled with just 25wt oil

haha i like it to other then the clean up, i just put all that stuff on it was all brand new and i guess i christened it with some shock oil.

yup once at the bmx track,it was about 45 degrees....landed on the left rear akward (sp?), but the shock was the least of my worries....snapped lower control arm and push tower into gas tank....lol....nice carnage shots, thanx for sharing.

this is what i did a week ago:
took the savy out the other day and i met up with a stone wall haha
was doing a wheelie in third gear (i have the tranny set up different) and lost control and nailed a stone wall. snapped the bulkhead in many pieces, the joint post snapped, the front right wheel exploded the front left is missing some pieces, the steering post cracked in half, the radio box mounting holes broke completely off the diff case mount broke off, and I'm sure i forgot some. o and the servo mount on the servo broke off, so now can only mount it with 2 screws (new servo should be here today)

Was about 30*out just hit that couch perfect, heard a nice crunch and a shock exploding, just kept going haha.

and nope sorry to disapoint but wasn't inside. I took the couch out of the garage so my stepdad could paint a hood, I didn't have brakes but wanted to test the savy out after transforming I to the x an also tearing the engine apart to change the front bearing, so was just so anxious (as u can tell I have no pacience) and I hit the stupid couch, great luck haha.
See what I break tomorrow since I seem to break somthing daily now, witer cold is brutle on plastic!

I was able to run the truck again Fri. while at work. Truck was runnin perfect. Still have a bit more tweaking to do with the shift points and pick-up some spare plugs. Anyways, onto the damage. I was getting tired of just runnin the truck back and forth for high speed runs, so I decided to take a little walk over to a small little dirt pile. Got about 5 jumps in, 3 with perfect back-flip landings and the other 2 ended up on the rear. I was trying for a double but didn't make it. On the last jump, I must have landed on stick or something, causing it to flip up and break the throttle mixer arm. So, with out have any throttle action, I was able to run anymore so the day was over. After I got back over to the work truck and proceded to strape the truck to the stand, I noticed a shock came loose from the lower A-arm. The screw just backed out, no biggy, put a different screw back in and all fixed. Got home from work started fixing the truck and didn't get it finished. On Sat., started finishing the truck up so I could go run later that night and found more damage. The shock that came loose from the lower A-arm must have popped of before the last jump because the resivoir cap was jammed up crooked. So, just have to refill the rear shock (which haven't been done yet) and I'm good to go. After I finished fixing and setting up a new throttle/brake linkage system, I turned the radio on and started checking all the EPA's and to make sure the brakes lock up enough and yada yada yada. Started to hear a grinding noise and after further inspection, this is what I found......

Those are cen diffs. I have finally out did Jeremy in the damage department. As far as I know, he hasn't stripped or damaged a cen diff set-up.

WOW man .. but it really doest look stripped looks like it just broke bro .
You have my :resp: what did the ring gear look like ?

took the savy out for one last run before the snow, sleet, and rain come in tonight. set up a 2ft ramp and did some decent jumping with it. got a good 10 ft of air and was jumping the bonfire pit we have at my house (about 20ft total) was fun. its hard to keep the truck lined up with the ramp cuz if i gun it all it does is wheelie and vear way off course so got to ease the throttle.

I'm working on getting a video camera set up my girls trying to find one give me about a week and have to wait for all the snow to melt, but with the crazy weather thats going on here who knows could all melt in the same day.

i think i need a new body, o well zip ties will have to be the fix for now.

Damage update. Finally got to run the truck yest. afternoon after a month or so. Finally got new bearings for the motor and a better clutch. Finished putting everything back together Sat. night so I could run it Mon. afternoon. I had to wait for the sealant to finish setting before I ran the motor. Well, anyways, I was runnin the truck in the street in front of the house and ran almost full speed into the neighbor's car tire. Snapped the front right steering knuckle and bend the fairly new Ti dogbone. Already got it all fixed cuz I had some spares. Here are the pics for your veiwing pleasure.

P.S.- The GST 7.7 rim/tire didn't receive any damage at all. These are some tough rims/tires.

I finally got the truck all back together again and runnin pretty good. Still needed some more tuning on the mill, no biggy. Well, Fri. night, I met up with some of the guys that work at HobbyTown in the parking lot next to Walmart to run trucks, cars, and the few that had helis. I ran one full tank through before I started to test out the ramp to see how the changes worked out. I let the motor cool down and helped my buddy fix his 4-tec then filled up the tank for ramp testing. I went against my better judgement as to where I set the ramp up, but it was the only place that had good light and it was facing a dirt lot. Started runnin the truck and did a few full throttle passes to warm the motor up before hitting the ramp. Then, it was time. I got a real long run at the ramp, truck was tracking straight, hit 3rd. gear about 30ft. from the ramp, everything was looking good. Once the truck hit 3rd., it torque-pulled to the right a little and I missed the ramp by about 8 in. What I didn't miss, was the concrete curb that the ramp was in front of. Here's the pics.

The irreplaceable damage I hate the most.

TVP braces mounted to the diff plate.

Another set of front lower hinge pins.

What's not pictured is the twisted RPM lower A-arm. Pics didn't turn out good enough to show the twist.
