OS .30 VG(P) ES Pullstart Conversion?

Hi guys, the used Savage XL I got had this engine in it with the rotostart:

I want to convert it to a pullstart. I originally bought this pullstart:

But it does not fit...only the 2 right side mounting holes line up, and pullstart is not deep enough (shaft on engine too long) there is an 1/8" gap between the pullstart and the engine plate the shaft on the engine bottoms out and doesnt allow it to sit up tight.

Can anyone help me here?

rep you probally have this starting shaft
because this one is for when you use the roto start

Maybe some one else can confirm it but that is what i think is wrong

But Also the mounting hole son the pullstart are different, its got 3 mounting holes but the plate on the engine has 4 mounting hole sin all 4 corners, the pullstart has 2 mounting hole son teh right sid ein teh corners that would line up but the 3rd on the left is more toward the middle which serves no purpose, this is the correct pullstart though?

I've got a good picco 30 here, just want to convert to pullstart, i don't want to spend $$ on another engine I don't need... I jsut spent a chunk for a picco 28 🙂

i was able to drill out the stripped screws and put some calipers on the shaft and it does measure 1.214", so i will order up that 1.03" shaft, but I need a shorter One Way to go on it also, I cant seem to figure out what I need...

$25 for the one-way or $47 for the pullstart with the one-way?

Might as well get the pullstart assembly so i have an extra pullstart around?
