Talk about the 07 season thus far. Who's your favorite team? SuperBowl predictions? Talk trash, keep it clean.....

I like the Chargers good all around team, they have my respect. So far I'm in love with Romo. :whipit: Best of all Chad got his sexy back.

Discuss away, the sky's the limit.

I'm not even sure about me anymore.

Don't be shy guys post anything about 07 NFL, favorite teams, amazing games, predictions, trash talk, sweet plays, injuries. Go for it.

I'm a major New England Patriots fan. No, I'm not a bandwagon jumper. I've been of fan of theres since back in the late 80's or early 90's or so when they sucked and had the ugly old red & white uniforms and the guy on the helmets.

Gotta say, the best thing the Pats did this year was pick up Moss. HUGE asset to Brady, who's already (at least in my opinion), the best quarterback in the league. Also I big Romo fan and Payton Manning fan. I live in Buffalo Bills country *GAG!* Stupidest thing they ever did was when they drafted that idiot Losman and passed up Matt Lienhart (who is doing MUCH better than Losman this year). True, he's not a major star, but he's still much better than Losman.

Brady and Manning imo are tied for best QB in the league. They are so close in my mind that the only way to determine who is better is the winner of the SuperBowl. I defiantly agree about signing moss was a smart move, I'm just worried that as soon as the Pats lose a game Moss may stop trying, and start whining.

On a different note anyone like Reggie Bush. I love this guy, his running style is like none other. Great speed too. I just feel after his college career he couldn't live up to the hype. Who could? The problem was in college not everyone was as fast as Reggie, but in the NFL everyones fast. He needed some time to adapt and learn how to play the game in the NFL. Now that Duece is out for the season we'll get to see reggie full time.

Brady and Manning, I have to agree that they are very close. I hear you with the Moss thing. He has been a real whiner in the past. So far this year, he's been a team player. I hope that it doesn't change, but it's probably about like thinking that T.O. (idiot) will ever change his dumbass ways.

Reggie Bush...he's the man. Definately didn't live up to his college image, but as you say, everyone is fast in the "NFL, which stands for Not For Long" (Thank you Jerry Glanville, former Atlanta Falcons coach, for that great quote) if you don't bust butt and prove yourself.

I'm also a Big new england fan! i also agree that brady and manning are the 2 top QBs right now and new england was very smart to pick up moss! and i agree with you thrasher6 T.O. is a huge idiot. lol

I suppose anything is possible, but that would be pretty low, even for some of the lowest thinking players. I hope it doesn't happen, but you never know. I personally think they had every right to run up the score. If nothing else, it's helping out with their stats (mainly Brady's, but the receivers and other players as well). Never know...perhaps someday Brady will pass Favre (one of my all time favorite quarterbacks)!

Farve is my favorite QB. Not to take nothing from Brady and Manning(NOT ELI) at all. They are great QB's. I personaly think that Romo will have his "bad season to come". He is doing good things, but he is young and will go through some tough seasons. Right now he is on a rookie high with a high octane offence.

Farve is fantastic. I love watching him play. Romo is still learning but I think he has the potential to be one of the best QB's ever. His raw athleticism, quick release, and his overall attitude are all great.

Anyone catch the Philly-Pats game? I had a feeling it was going to be a closer game like it was as a opposed to a 40-0 blowout.

I agree Romo will be a great. I just think that he will have his bad season's, and Jerry Jones has a hard time sticking with a QB that does not produce. Romo does have great potental and could later in his years beat some of Farve's records.

The Pats and Philly! WOW........... what a game that was. They gave pats all they could handle for sure. I'm not a big fan of Philly, but when called opon they shine.

The Packers and Dallas game is what I'm waiting for tho!

That was a Tradric lose with sean Taylor. I'm a die hard redskins fan. Even through the hard times. I have followed Sean since athe beginning. He was a great player, father, friend, role model even. R.I.P.

Well, I'm a huge sports nut...so even though I don't care so much for the NFL, I am surrounded by it because the rest of the country is obsessed...so here goes...

Number 1) I want the Patriots to lose. Not because I dislike them, but because I am just sick of hearing about how great they are. I think they are undoubtedly the best team, but they are not unstoppable. There are teams out there with a great shot to beat them, especially when the weather gets rough.

Number 2) Tom Brady is overrated. I know, I know, I know, I sound like a crazy hater. But I have watched an awful lot of Tom Brady this year, and I can honestly say, he is not the best quarterback in the league. Statistically, yes, he is dominating, having the best season in history. The fact remains, there are still throws that Peyton Manning makes that Tom Brady can only dream about. Brady is on a dominant offense that makes him look better than he really is. He doesn't throw interceptions because he never has to throw to anyone who is covered. Did anyone else see him go to Welker 5 plays in a row against the Steelers and not have the defense make a play on the ball a single time? I have to give Brady props, because he does a GREAT job at finding the open man. But he is lucky in that there is ALWAYS an open man to find. I honestly think that Manning is both smarter and more physically gifted. He just doesn't have the advantage of the dominant offense that Brady does. With Brady's tools, Manning would put up better numbers. Not by a ton, but watching them both tells me that Manning really is just better and Brady, as good as he is (clearly #2 in my book), is really a product of his team.

Number 3) Adrian Peterson is sick. I don't want to toot my own horn, but in discussions with my roommate at this time last year, I was pointing out that Adrian Peterson was destined to be a great NFL back. I loved his running style in college and I felt like it would transition well to the NFL. What I did not see coming is just how fast this guy really is. His breakaway speed is not even fair.

Number 4) Farve is actually spelled F-A-V-R-E 🙂 What a great season, it's nice to see someone who actually appreciates his place in the NFL. You can tell the guy wakes up every day excited that he gets to play football. I wish there were more guys like that. I am happy to see that he actually has some game around him this season and that he is still proving he is one of the best in the game.

Number 5) We have no idea how good Tony Romo really is. He has looked absolutely spectacular at times this season. But as we saw this weekend, he is still human. I'll be anxious to see how he develops as his career progresses. I honestly expected him to be mediocre at best this season. He started hot last year, then faded down the stretch. I guessed maybe he had been figured out, and I fully expected a 'sophomore slump'. But I was wrong, he's had a great year, a Pro-Bowler for sure. However, it still remains to be seen whether he is a 1 Season Wonder or a truly great QB.

Super Bowl Prediction: Indianapolis Colts - 31, Green Bay Packers - 34 (more wishful thinking than logic, I admit).

As you can see, I truly earn my spot as a forum 'essayist'!

Yeah I don't have much to say but...

Brady puts up these insane numbers not because he's the best. The Patriots are very efficient in their "system", whatever system that may be. It goes to show that teamwork and coordination out play a team with raw skill. Say what you want but Brady is smart. Maybe not as athletically skilled as Peyton but he is just as equally smart.

There is no doubt is my mind that if Peyton had a system like Brady does he would be the undisputed best. The fact of the matter is that Peyton (to my knowledge) lost his starting left tackle due to an injury. This is HUGE. The left tackle needs to be very good because that is the area where the QB can't see the sack coming. So Peyton is always looking over his should making sure he isn't about to get hit when he needs to be going through this reads. Marvin Harrison has been out and still is....do I need to say anymore. Marvin is a huge part of the Colts offense. Vinateria (sp?) has a bad plant leg and can't aim his kicks at all. They lost at least two games because of this.

Anyway, my point is Peyton can't put up Brady's numbers because his system has been hosed. When a QB is missing at least two crucial players their productivity is bound to drop. But hey, at least they have Wayne and Addia.

Ok, young bucks- I was a Tom Brady hater for the last few years. I grew up being a NY yankees fan and have grown to loathe them because I hate dynasty teams with more cash than sense. The fact is that Tom Brady has been putting up insane numbers before Randy Moss came to town. I have no choice now but to say he is at the top of the game. To operate a "system" you have to be super smart and know how to use your skills to the best of your abilities. Tom Brady does that better than anyone!!
Bucs fan since 1979

Before this season, Brady had a career QB rating of 88.5. You don't go from 88.5 to 120 by yourself. You don't go from 24-12 TD-INT to 45-6 by yourself. If this was Brady's third year as a starter, I can see how maybe he would just now be putting it together. But it's his 7th. He didn't miraculously become the most talented QB in history over a single off-season. And he has 3 Super Bowl rings, which tells me that it wasn't like the teams he was playing on before were full of bums.

I am not arguing that he isn't good. I'm not even arguing that he isn't amazing. I'm just saying Manning is still a better QB. Brady does a fantastic job using his skills. My point is that Manning has a better skillset, but is on a less talented team. I guess I am not even saying that Brady isn't at the top of the game. I'm just saying that given equal tools, there is no doubt in my mind that Manning is better than Brady.

And I must argue that he was not putting up insane numbers before Moss showed up. He was putting up good numbers, no doubt, but they were far from insane. In fact, before this season, he never had a season with a QB rating over 93. Good, of course, I would even say he was great. But he was not insane. He had only thrown for over 4,000 yards once. He had never thrown more than 28 touchdowns in a season. Going into this season, his QB rating against the rest of the league the past 5 seasons: 9th, 6th, 9th, 10th, 9th. Manning's in that span: 1st, 1st, 1st, 2nd, 5th.

Also, I would like to point out that currently, Brady is NOT on pace to set the all-time QB Rating record. He could easily get there, especially with their remaining schedule, but let's also remember Peyton Manning in his amazing season was not out there tossing bombs to Randy Moss when they were up 35 with 4 minutes to go...

I guess I am just doubting that he could get THAT good THAT quickly if not for the exceptional team around him.

No Limit-

Congrats, the Bucs just ran in their first punt/kick (don't remember which) return since the stone age. 🙂

About this whole Brady thing I want to be clear. Brady's skills are not as good as Peyton's, but Brady is able to utilize the skills he has better than Peyton can. Now I guess it's fair to say if your really good at utilizing the limited amount of skills you have, that is a skill but let's not split hairs. Bottom line is that pound for pound 1 on 1, Peyton is better than Brady. Peyton could shoot the testicles off of a fly from 50 yards. I would say he has better experience than Brady. Now when it come to teams, the Pats have the edge over the Colts.

Ugh...when I first made this thread I said that Chad got his sexy back. Nothing could be further from the truth. He is a huge disappointment even though he has put up good numbers. If anyone's up for talking about how big of an idiot Chad Johnson is go ahead.

Quite frankly, I am amazed that the Bungals can be as bad as they are with as much talent as they have. I have to say it sucks, because even though I am not a fan of theirs, I DO live in Cincy, and the people here are die-hards. They honestly deserve better than this team is giving them.

I agree that Chad is kind of an idiot, but last I saw, he and TJ were still the leading receiving duo in the NFL. I wish he would just shut up and play, and I am sure Carson Palmer does too...but I don't expect that to happen any time soon.
