The stock market is not indicating that. They just had to sell more to them. Their stock is almost $1 a share.

I really didn't have a problem with AMD until this info came to my attention. I wrote them off as dead a long time ago and brush off their stories in my tech forums and such, so I missed this.

There is no way that I will ever have an AMD chip anywhere near my house.... ever.

That's scary stuff... actually scarier than them running our ports.

BTW Mega, I am not coming down on you or your choice of computer. The AMD news was just shocking and displeasing to me.

I understand. I will still use AMD until Intel quits screwing with the market. Like I said I would do skull trail if it was cheaper. AMD USA still has to do what the watchdogs here dictate with sales and mutual patents. I would start worrying more about the chines Intel clones myself.

Well the brakes just got slammed on. AM3 will be out in about 3 weeks for there first line CPUs and 2Q will be there FX series CPUs. So looks like I'm waiting....

Did I read this right!? 3 weeks or 3 months? If 3 weeks...YAY!!!!

I personally prefer AMD for gaming...I have used both AMD and Intel......

Intel is just way over priced for me......For AMD's basically top of the line (Phenom 940) will only run me $235 right now.....and to get something equivalent in Intel will probably run double + and in which I cannot afford.

As long as it is fast and plays my games smooth I am happy :jamout:

Parker do the 940 if you can't spend the money on DDR3 ram. Talked to AMD today and there are only a few boards that are ready for AM3 the rest will take a while to build up.

I'm gonna wait and see how it all plays out for now. Any word on price for am3 boards and CPU ? I heard that some of the am2+ boards can run am3 CPU with a bios update, but still no ddr3 ram :/

WOW, is that deal done? This is a REALLY good reason to never buy AMD now. AMD chips are already found in most road-side bombs in Iran. Imagine now.

I buy over 1 million dollars of computer equipment for my clients per year. It's all Intel and certainly now will never change.

UAE is an open market to buy and it took the place after the fall of HongKong,

i live in UAE, the problem is that ppl abuse what they buy
beside that UAE has a conflict with iran for the borders, so UAE gov giving iran ppl hard time to let them in

Bin, I certainly didn't mean any disrespect to you or your country by my words. I simply don't like the idea of American technology in other hands. The US is already just a hollow shell of what it used to be from selling out.

Whip everyone knows that American Technology is PREMO. Look at all the US military toys the world uses. They just hate our government (AKA us).

Broke down again and got a deal on this. will cost as much as the AMD model. Maybe order tomorrow.
