Ok a while back i purchased a LRP Z.28R Spec 3, after break-in almost every 2 tanks i was going through glow-plugs, the fillaments were breaking, after the first 2 happened i tore the mill down to check for any debre or signs of failure, well to no surprise i couldnt find anything wrong. over the last month ive torn this mill apart every 2 tanks to check for wear or anything that would cause this. Well now that a full gallon of nitro i tore it down again to find the culprit this time or atleast i think this would cause it.
When i removed the connecting rod the brass bushing fell out into my hand. My guess is that the oil hole in the bushing or rod itself was clogged, causing it to fail, which in turn created play at that end of the con-rod and aloud it to contact the crankcase at bdc.
I had checked this area almost every time i tore the mill down, and this was the first time it showed sign of anything.
PS only 3 tanks since the last time i tore it down before this.
