Every day is a school day as they say, I had the same with a loose fly wheel nut chasing my tail & losing count of how many times I had taken engine out checking stuff, wasn’t until I noticed brass shavings from the collet that the penny dropped! 🙈

I believe I’ve got a habit of thinking I know what’s wrong but it ends up being something else , I’m gunna check for shavings now. ,,,,,🥴🤪🥴🤪seriously ,, I am thanx for the tip !!

Finally got over the , I know what I’m doing mode , looked at the manual, come to find out , the brass bushing that goes against the slipper gear was evidently forgotten in assembly , never had it at all , I ordered the kit , put it together and DAM !!! What a fun truck , wheelies like crazy and shifts perfectly , persistence pays off !!!! YEEEEEEHAAAAAAW !!!!

Forget the solving , I’ve been through my 4.6 tranny so much , I hope they didn’t shim this stuff I got it figgered , once I found the dam , right shims , no slop at all , and there trannys don’t seem to work well until that spur is wrenched down alllllll the way , so much fun when it’s dialed in , can’t wait to tear down the new version see what they may have addressed , film @ 11 !🥴

I’m happy with the savage 4.6 now , but I’m having troubles with the brand new 5.9 version I just got , did the breakin thing , can’t get any power out of this thing , any advise on carb settings ?

Just usual little tweaks here n there n double check r fings nice n tite ? Keep n eye on new tanks as well they av habbit o not closeing properly it’s usually the silly little issues that get ovelooked

Good vids on YouTube fo that prob try screw it all way in so it’s locked in 1st gear then back out full 4 turns you should b good then if ya happy locktite it in disired position coz the screw n spring can vibrate out n damage gearbox

I made a detailed video on how to set a 3-speed box; the same applies to the 2. You just don't have to take the whole thing apart. But I fully agree, once you are happy with your change point, definitely take it out and put some Loctite on it.

What in the world is going on !! I watched a video that was saying the savage is discontinued!! ?? I just got one ! All aspects rc dude said this , makes no sence , do I need to stock up on parts or what ?
