Because when I push my truck forward it’s kind of stiff
Almost like it’s resisting to go forward when pushed
So I thought I’d open it up and look at it
I’ve removed the screws that hold this aluminium case together
It’s loose but I don’t know / can’t get the housing out of the section
It’s like the dog bones are holding it in place
One question I have to ask, did you get a manual for this rig? how about the papers on that integy trans case? instructions are going to go a long way to helping you figure out things.....
yes that is the HPI Reverse module, there are gears (cogs) inside and that lever moves one of them into and out of mesh with the others thus allowing you to have reverse..... it will still allow the shaft to go clockwise or anticlockwise when it is out of the truck.....
I still say your gear mesh is/was a bit tight or the brakes were dragging and that was causing the drag you were feeling
when your bell to spur mesh is correct you will be able to spin the gears easily yet still have a tight enough mesh to not strip gears...
