I've had my new Savage X 4.6 for about a month now and the weather hasn't been cooperating with me at all. So today I couldn't take it no more. So me and my buddy, (he bought a new one too) went out today and tryed breakin em in. WOW what a pain in the a##. My Roto Start kept sticking and I had to keep hitting the button to get it to stop rotating. Anyone else had this problem. It took a good while before it finally fired, but after a while to no avail it finally went. It idled a whole tank through it and we ran 3 more tanks at half throttle at about 200 degrees. Motor starts alot easier, but it seems like at TDC the roto start don't have enough grunt to kick it on through and it locks up. Then sometimes the Roto Start just kicks it over and fires up. I hope it gets easier. We tuned em in and all I got to say is Unbelievable. I can't believe the power that this truck has. Everyone says "Wheelies on Demand". Bullcrap, you can flip this truck clear over backward if you want. What a power house. Suspension just soaks up everything. Pull wheelies in second gear, let off the throttle to bring it back down, or keep pulling to flip it over. Very pleased with the truck so far. The only complaint I have so far is the Roto Start trouble.(but hope it gets better) Also I was wandering if anyone else has noticed the plastic spur gear wobbles on his and mine? I am a Savage fan now. I can't believe this all started from finding out the quality that HPI has when I purchased their Jeep body for my Ofna Blazer. I'll let ya know how it does.
