So I have two Savage XL 5.9s. Noticing Tower and alot of other online stores are showing "Order Pending" or "Discontinued" on parts and the truck itself. I hope this is just a shortage of parts or temporary thing. Any thoughts?

You have to be kidding? I freakin hate Traxxas. All I hope is that Crapsis keeps making parts.

Why all the HATE ????

and FYI HPI is going to be taken over by RipMax in GB and will continue to make parts and kits available for the long run......

Been a Traxxas customer for over 15 years and the products have gotten cheaply make while the price keeps going up. Traxxas customer service sucks.

Hpi is revamping the XL line. The 5.9 and Octane have a V2 coming out along with a Flux XL. That played a hand in the supply chain, along with the "recievership" issues. Parts will be available soon, I'm sure.

In the mean time eBay and Amazon have parts aplenty.

Wow, yeah. Traxxas has terrific customer support. Even when I openly told them I bought something used, they were more tan happy to help. And really, does ANYONE else offer "Lifetime" electronics and engines?
Agreed there stuff IMHO isn't worth the price when, in most cases, for a few more clams there's a better option. And I mean, really, look at the shelf in nearly any hobby shop. Traxxas has parts EVERYWHERE. Hell, you can even get them through Pep Boys and places like Jeg's.

Traxxas customer service has always come through for my sons Teton. I haven't needed them for anything to do with his Revo. Sent me several parts for the bubble.

:offtopic: but... even my son's late 90's Stampede is still running. I just swapped out the 2 stick AM radio this year. Yes, like every other manufacturer in the world, they have there issues, but seriously look at what Traxxas does for the hobby as a whole. There is honestly no other hobby-grade RC manufacturer with more mainstream visuality that Traxxas.

Agreed

Late 90's traxxas is a whole different beast. If it were still built like those cars I would have a bunch in my fleet. The new Gen traxxas is very cheaply built IMO. I still have a TMAXX and no I will be not getting rid of it, but it is some 10 years old and still performs the new stuff. Ok enough about Traxxas. Didn't mean to bash the name just saying HPI is 10 times the product with little price difference. I'm glad RIP MAX got the deal.
