I came across this today and wanted to share it ( i don't know if its any good since i did not try it myself, but i was told it does the job)

Remove the glo plug and air filter fitting at the carburetor.

Spray a second of WD-40 into the top of the cylinder through the glo plug hole.

Spray a second of WD-40 into the carburetor with the throttle in the open position.

Use roto start to spin the motor 5 to 10 seconds.

Repeat the sequence again.

Reinstall the glo plug and air filter and you are ready to run whenever.:smilieflush:
 
hmmm.. i dunno about that but i removed the back plate and soaked my OWB in a bag with WD40 for about a week and it worked great after.

LOL, you left it for a week? I commented on this on your other thread already but, this may work temporarily but it seems like it would not get all of the fuel out of the OWB that way. It may work for a while but you might have to do it frequently. If I can get my hands on some Byrons fuel I'm gonna try that and see if it affects my OWB any differently. Even when I clean the OWB it seems like it starts doing it again after a few starts. I just use the button tapping method of starting, instead of holding it down, works fine for me. Also preheating, I'm pretty sure, would eliminate this problem. Once my truck is warm everything works as it should.

I just wanted to share the information, it might help someone like me to try this method instead of taking the engine out... 🙂
 
Mine is wore out by the time it starts slipping most of the time but wd-40 evaproates after awhile but I just use some brake cleaner from my local part store drench it and reinstall and it lasts for a long time before needs cleaned again.

I was just kiddin' at first, about your method Hyp. I think the way you did it would be much better than the way gazzazh is refering to. The rest of that post was aimed more toward the method of spraying the WD-40 into the carb and glow plug holes. I don't think it would get into the OWB as well as it would if you took it out and either: 1-soaked it, or 2-sprayed it out directly. In other words, I think you need to remove it to clean it good, no matter how you choose to clean it.
