I was wondering if anyone could confirm that the head off a axial .28rr or spec1 would fit the hpi K4.6?

I've read that people say that they are the same motor, but are the heads interchangeable?

I would like to get the .28rr head and turbo button for my K4.6.

Me personally I would get a Nova RC head for the motor. It helps bring down your temps better than a stock head.

it should fit cuz I'm pretty sure the axail and the k mill is pretty much the same thing but the k mill head is just one piece.

And for the nova head - I don't have any troubles with the temp. I stripped out the glow plug hole and in need of a new head. So i thought the axial would be the best choice in case it happens again.

My local hobby shop rocks, he told me either way I go hpi head or axial head & button for $30.00 plus tax, but i hate to have him order it then have to send it back if it won't work.

I found my old 4.1 head and my old axial head and they do not match up. i am sure the 4.6 head is slightly larger than my 4.1 put not 100% sure. If you just stripped the glow plug hole, I would just replace that part.

On the K4.6 it does not have a changeable button.

How it got stripped was my fault :duh: - with the head off.
Rear bearing went, sort of, the keeper fell apart and must of melted and fused to the insides of the motor and burnt out the plug. Replaced the block & went to change the plug and bad word.

And for nova products I also have there motor mount and love it. :resp:

the 4.6 is bigger its a .28 and the 4.1 is a .25
