Bigfoot’ish XL with a few fun toys

I’m exactly the same as you. Much prefer the forums over Facebook. I used to be a Mod on one of the biggest in the uk Maxbashing.com, I took a break from the hobby for about five years to focus on work, then bought a house then got married! So it’s only now I’m getting the chance to get back into it.

It’s amazing how much the landscape has changed in just that short time. There definitely seems to be fewer people in the hobby :(

Well went to mount up the Destroyers on the Delrin rims to my XL. Doesn’t work.

Just noticed/remembered this XL has a half inch, possibly more, offset. So the wheels look ridiculous and would destroy the inner bearing in minutes. I’ve got some old stub axels from another Savage lying around which I’m going to have to use instead.

I even had the thought to use the RC4WD rims backwards, but the decorative hub cover is only threaded on one side. Bummer.

I’ve put a Mudslinger on there too just to see how it looks. Let me know what you all think.

Hey Kwikuk you’re soo right about Rc projects. I usually spend more time wondering which one to work on!! Hey have you tried running those rc4wd rims on anything fast? I know that they are very heavy and I 3A42FDE7-EA5E-4ABA-B3EA-EDDE25A3F605.jpeghave only run them on my Clods.

Hi, yeah that’s exactly it. Too many on the go at once haha.

Haven’t run these on anything yet until I swap out the stub axels. They do feel very heavy so may end up using them on my Clod/Bullhead projects.

I’ll run them and see. If not I’ll go back to running 40 series with Bowties, or those truggy rims with Badlands.

I swapped the driveshafts and stub axels for a full set of CVs from either an X or a 25, can’t remember.

Only having 5mm offset is still making it look a bit wonky from my point of view. Only thing I can do is reverse the rims and mount the hex adapters inside out. I’d lose the scale hub cap/lug bolts as it’s only threaded on one side...

What do you guys think?

looks good to me, you could have used a slightly bigger tire.

But as far as stance i think it looks cool, and will perform good too

If u know someone with a mill they could take 10mm out of the back of the wheel to get in the sweet spot. flipping the hubs would never work as it would hit the knuckles or lower control arms

hey I am looking for some IMAX Jumbo Chevrons or similar ones with Ofna chrome rims and 17mm adapter. Please if someone has any let we know ! I am also taking only the rims/tires...
