Wear and tear is expected, however making small turns(adjustments) are easier on the o ring. Big turns(adjustments) eventually ends up in the washing machine effect (left, right left, right).
Of course change the oring.
I have used the fioroni with even the stock engine mount and it works fine just make sure as stated in the earlier post that is is not binding anywhere. What collet are you using

I had the problem when I first got my 3 speed trans but after shimming the top and bottom half you should be fine. Also make sure you get all the little pieces of metal out of the gear box, if you don't it will shread the gears again. There are hidden pockets within the bottom trans case that...
I guess this has been brought up before that Japan has had it and I finally took a picture for others to see. IMO this was not a good idea but with inspiring minds it would make a good project.
