ok thanx alot! It's just beacause i have some spare LiPo's that i don't use anymore!
i'll buy a NiMH instead coz i love my pretty face and my delicate hands LOL
hello, i was wondering if you could use 8.4v LiPo's in the hpi rotostart?
i know its normally 7.2 volt but would that harm the device itself and is anyone using this coz i have some lipos i don't use anymore...
just adding some tamiya connectors and i would ready to go, would be a cheap...
<edit> i really forgot to check the forum! i just bought myself a new nitro and i'm kinda busy with it :)
I'll post a write up about the spring loaded body posts and yeah i think the big joes add some extra weight but i added an alu skidplate, some other alu on the chassis, a big scale servo...
thanx alot! will post some other vids also but youtube is a pain, it wont let me upload the HD versions of my vids :s
Looks way better in HD... :(
i'm building a new one as we speak wooot! this hobby is addictive! :)
Hello hello, I added the LST shocks, the big scale servo and modded some things in the chassis to mount the electrics better.
here's a vid

enjoy!
lol i don't bash other Savages ;)
just drove it for about 5 mins then crashed into a small branch sticking out and broke my steering link... lol BAD LUCK?!?!?
and you always forget something when you're out there... PFFFFFFF LOLZ :)
hello, i'm rebuilding my nitro into Flux so i have the tranny rebuild to be Flux proof but i still have some spurgears laying around from my nitro so i hope i can still use them?
The spur gears are much broader? (lol) than the flux spurs, they are 2 Robinson racings 48teeth's and i would use...
hehe thanx i *tuuuut* love it! :)
And Freddy, i finally weighed it...
4.9kgs without batteries, wheels and body so thats pretty ok if you ask me...
wheels, body and batteries +/- 3.4kgs
so in total 8.3 kgs still pretty ok i think :)
hello hello, i added some mods to my desertboy, here they are ;-)
I added a big scale servo coz i found my standard high torque servo couldnt really hold up the big wheels and weight. Broke the gears on my previous HT servo so i wanted something that suited the truck better. Since it's almost...
nopes it was my framesetting.... it was still standing on 5.5ms and it should stand on 16.5ms now my servo is working like it should and no heat at all!
cool!
I recently installed this big scale servo in my flux (HITEC HS-805MG) but i noticed that it became pretty warm after just turning left/right/left/right and adjusting it and when you let the steering wheel go it turns back to starting position reall....slooowww....turning left and right goes just...
well i think its weird coz its a new model that comes with the BP diffs so its probably somebody of assembly who didnt locktite enough coz my other diffs both from my nitro and the other flux diff are still tight as hell so i guess this can happen i wont make a fuss about it.
i mailed them some...
anyone had this problem before? look at the pics ;)
the inside of my diff.... seems the screws fell out??? after some months of driving... this is the result... my pinion and big gear are still in perfect shape coz i immediatly stopped driving when i heard something weird...
hmm i never had any troubles with my big joes...they are made of a softer kind of rubber so i don't use them on construction terains with sharp stones or stuff like that... other than that no complaints so far...
and heavy?? ?? hpi's goliaths are heavy :)
i have one laying around as a spare so thats sweet!
could you give me some more info/advise on doing it? some people say they wont be able to handle the motors power?
