40 series: Dirt Hawg vs. Masher vs. Big Joe

What to pick? Weight is about the same. This will be an all around basher tire.

I heard that the Big Joe's aren't very good, other than that, I don't have any experience with the other two.

know that the mashers work very well in all conditions....i have a set of 40 moabs that work good in hard conditions..ie: grass, fields, rocks, woods
imo get the mashers for good all around bashing

ya i wouldnt go with big joes from what i've heard alot like the dirt hawgs..

Idk bout any of them other than the big joes. They make your truck way wider no more roll overs but they seem heavy and. clutsy feeling to me need a good strong mill to make them rip. So I wouldn't recommend the big joes.

Big joes are to heavy,takes away too much power,go with the badlands and a 1/2 inch offset wheel, just my 2 cents.

Yeah Big Joe's put alot of strain on your drive train...

i have a set of badlands that i LOVE! there not too wide so the truck turns well and boy do they dig the trenches!

hmm i never had any troubles with my big joes...they are made of a softer kind of rubber so i don't use them on construction terains with sharp stones or stuff like that... other than that no complaints so far...


and heavy?? ?? hpi's goliaths are heavy 🙂

I have the Dirt Hawg 40s and Masher 40s. The dirt Hawgs are great but the mashers are heavier and don't get a good bite.
I'd go with the Dirt Hawgs out of the choices here but I'm looking myself for a lighter setup.
