    Servo twitch

Regarding your clutch rattle, check your bearings to make sure the bell is running true, and check the springs are correctly installed and have not failed allowing a shoe to slop around. Regarding the setup of the Nova clutch shoes, read siteJesters' review here...

HellFire Shock Mounts for Big Bores

Hey Sunk, how do the ball ends on those mounts fit inside the sleeve of the shock? Any better fit than the bits supplied with the big bores? If it is a better (more sung) fit, could you please measure the width of the ball section for me? Cheers!

Think these would work with the big bores? Hellfire shock mounts

Anybody got any pics or comments on how these mounts worked out for them?

Refilled my big bores i think i did something wrong? Help

If you go here http://www.hpieurope.com/instructions.php?lang=en and download the instructions for the hellfire ss, there are details on how the tapers should go. But yes, the 1.6T should be facing up when you fit those pistons

    XL Wide Axle

No, the axles you linked to require the XL dogs and XL diff input cups to be able to use on another Savage. If you look at the bottom of the page you linked to, there is a compatibility chart which shows they are only compatible with the XL kit (there are no other models listed)...

    Alloy rear hub carriers

Hi guys. The carriers arrived yesterday and I had a trial fit (the Savage they are for is all pieces still). Does anybody know ºdegrees camber the 3 mounting holes are supposed to be? As none of them offer 0 degrees (vertically straight). By my measurement, middle hole in gives about -2º, but...

    HPI big bore shocks

Just to follow up... the aluminium dress up parts for hellfire shocks arrived. All the parts seem nice, CNC'd not cast and very light. I will address the parts individually: 1) The caps for the bottom of the shock body (where the shaft goes in) do not fit the big bores. The bottom seal...

    Ordering Innovative-RC TVP's

Hi, I just received my extended chassis kit from IRC. I took a little while getting the engine plate lined up as the holes and taps are very very close sized to the actual screws provided (meaning they have to go dead straight in). I take it you can get the screws in to the plate if you are not...

    Gorilla Snawt or Mobil-1 grease?

Ok so the seller got back to me... the postage was wrong on the listing, you just have to request an invoice after doing the 'buy now' on eBay. The actual price for shipping 1oz out to the UK was $7 so $18 all in, so for 1oz grease that's still a good price. I look forward to receiving it and...

    Gorilla Snawt or Mobil-1 grease?

Maybe you have a point. I really shouldn't be thinking of spending £20 on grease! As for the shocks, I have some Traxxas(!) shock oil. I'm guessing it's silicone although it doesn't say on the bottle? Still yeah I think that shock snot stuff maybe unnecessary.

New era 125cc fuel tank review

Looking at it, you have an extended chassis? you should be able to make a similar bracket that just shifts the tank back a bit (1/2 inch)... extended chassis has the stock fuel location so there is a bit of space to move it back and free up the hole the saftey stop goes through??? The more I...

    Gorilla Snawt or Mobil-1 grease?

As far as I'm aware, you can use both (GS or Mobil-1) for all the odd bits - lubing the o-rings in the diffs, the outside of the diff and anywhere else in the trans that you might want to grease... around bearings and a litlle bit here and there for shaft pins and so on. Not actually for in the...

New era 125cc fuel tank review

First up, great review, and thanks for the pics of the bracket set-up! Damn! I was hoping to get one sent across the water too :( Looks like I'll be making my own bracket (and I want to use the safety stop).

    Gorilla Snawt or Mobil-1 grease?

Toughie this one! I'm just looking to take as good care as possible with my truck, need to make a decision on the grease now! I have seen excellent reviews of Gorilla Snawt, BUT as I'm in the UK and he charges £££ for shipping internationally it's a bit of a luxury (1oz £5 + £15...

    Which engine mount???

Thanks for the comments guys. I was sure I had heard some reports of the Nova being a bit of a fiddle. When you talk about the Hpi HD mount, is it the one- (HP86399) or two-piece (HP86140) design? Or just the one which comes with the 5.9XL or X SS kits?? The problem with the purple Hpi bits...
