Servo twitch

I seem to be having some servo twitch going on, sometimes it will go WOT. I installed a new Hitec HS-645MG servo for steering. I've heard loose springs and other things can cause servo twitch, but I don't see anything out strange. One thing I do hear is a rattling sound from the clutch bell after installing new Nova shoes, could this rattle be my problem? If so, what could I do to rectify the problem?

They rattle from the clutch could be your problem. Also, check to make sure there is nothing metal rubbing something metal, Prime example exhaust pipe rubbing against the bolts on roll bar. Another thing to check is your antenna if it is rubbing anything metal or really very close to it it can interfere and give twitch.

Something to look at as well if you have you servo wires tangled around your battery wires it will sometimes do this.

Sometimes above ground power/telephone wires will do this as well or other interferences.

Switching to a 2.4 radio will help with this issue as it will clean it up a lot.

Thanks for the reply Jason, what's the deal with the clutch rattle? What do I look for when I get in there? I put the weights in the outer holes for better contact, that wouldn't be it would it, I didn't think I had any play on the shaft either...

Regarding your clutch rattle, check your bearings to make sure the bell is running true, and check the springs are correctly installed and have not failed allowing a shoe to slop around.

Mine would do that every once in a while until i found out my antenna wire was sliced would even turn off at full speed for some reason with good battery's
