Since the pipe was brought into question, yeah would be causing the tuning problem. When you goto change out the pipe, do that first, while the motors out, go ahead and do a air leak test on the motor and then seal it up. That way after doing the air leak test, you'll know ahead of time if the bearings are leaking and you save the motor by not runnin it until you get new bearings. Because if the bearings are bad, you'll end blowing the motor eventually.
