LOL!!! Cool deal, not sure what hotel we're staying at yet but will post up as soon as I know so if others are traveling from out of town they'll have a familar face around the corner.

Have you guys looked into that brand new Best Western (link below)? About 15 minutes from the park, and have a pretty new shopping center in front of it with shopping, restaurants and stuff. They still have rooms available for 02/28/2009. AAA or military or government rates are like $85.99 or something if you scroll down to see different rate/type of room thingy on the page ... by the way, it rained yesterday here 🙁 :duh::resp:

That's good news for the track!! Needed some water to tone down some of the surface dust! I'm bringing googles and a bandana this time...no grit in the teeth!

Bandana, Good thinkin. I'm gonna have my head shaved BALD. Just a matter of a towel and windex. Never leave home without shades. I have a big ice chest want me to bring it. I'm gonna get my brothers foldable chairs They are real nice. What else do we need.

Hmmm not much besides the trucks and fuel...I think that Best Western is a good choice and conviently close to the park...and food/beer! Got to love stumbling distance away...no chance for trouble from the popo.

I am Sunk's barber and just shaved his hair today cause it was getting a bit long... if you have a pair of those cheap rubber boots (< $10 or $15 at Academy), you could bring those too just in case the track is muddy. We wore those at the track today because it was SO muddy since it has been raining all day yesterday and earlier this morning. It's easy to just hose them off and not ruin a good pair of shoes... :duh::resp:

There is a play/picnic area and soccer fields. Don't plan on using the BMX track for BMXing, it'll be occupied. :jamout:

Man I raced on a Redline Prostyler as a kid. Then moved to a Hutch Pro Star.

Well, I think all 3 trucks are "ready to go".

Truck 1 (mine): Replace the brake discs. Had one of them (red disc) completely shred on the last outing. Replaced exhaust pipe coupler.

Truck 2 (son's): He had a missing front dog bone, so I installed all HPI heavy duty ones.

Truck 3 (spare): Replaced the diff bearings (installed BOCA green seal) and re-shimmed the diffs.
