Question on the back plate

Is the back plate and roto start mounting all the same on nitro engines ?. Have a savage and just purchesd a OS 28zx max it did not come with back plate and was wondering if I could use the one of my hpi f4.6 on it.

No I doubt that it is the same, if your OS engine has no pullstart or roto unit on it is entirely possible that it is a bump start engine only... got a link to your purchase so I can see if it is capable....?

Has nothing just a cap over it. It's model 13280 I believe

That is not capable of using a pullstart or a roto unit if you look closely at the crankshaft you will see it is missing the little nub needed for it to use a pullstart or roto unit, so unfortunately that can only be started by a starterbox by turning the flywheel
