hi i have got a zoom x6 router with a belkin 54mbps adapter i can stay on for a around 5 to 10mins and then it would disconnect me the signal strength is realy good so why does it do this i will be getting the new belkin n1 soon and iam hooping that this will not happen with the n1
 
I don't know much about zoom routers, but I do know that most wi-fi routers that are not Linksys/Cisco will tend to do this. Belkin, D-link, Netgear, etc. Make sure you have the latest firmware for your product at least.

Wi-Fi still sucks, but take it from someone who owns an IT company and has dealt with many, many wi-fi routers. You'll have less trouble from a Linksys.

Personally I use a Wi-fi access points and not wi-fi routers. I use a separate router.

Try unplugging the power and plugging it back it. This will reset the router and should work better for a while. You will need to do it again and again at some point but for some reason the cheaper routers need this.
