why preheat?

After last weekend, I am sold on the idea of preheating the motor. I spent the better part of an hour getting the truck started and running warm enough to use the throttle... It doesn't get too cold down here very often and the cheapest 12v hair dryer I have found is about $15 + shipping...so I guess I will just preheat at home before I head out to the field.

?????????If you preheat at home by the time you get it to the field it will be cold again.

I start mine and toss in in the bed and drive to the field.. Of course in a pickup.. lol

It's about a mile from my house to the place I usually frequent, good thing about living in south texas, plenty of free space. 🙂

when i first got my nitro truck i tried to start for break in and it would start till i pre-heated the engine a little.

i just pre-heat for the very first start after that i didn't have trouble starting it.
