Which engine shall I pick for Savage 25? Axial or LRP?

My stock engine on my Savage 25 blew its crankshaft a while back. and finally have some money to get a new engine. I was deciding to get a Axial .28 spec 1s, Axial .32 spec 1s, or a LRP Z.28R spec 3. Which one shall i get? Also, if i get any one of these engines, do i need a part to get it working in the savage 25 or can the engine just get bolted in? Thanks.

Go LRP. blows axial out of the water. Upgrade your clutch but other than that yes it is a bolt in.

I see LRP is a hit. Clutch... what clutch do you prefer, I'm trying to spend little money.

If you want to go cheep get a set of alum shoes and put it on your exsisting flywheel.

LRP for sure

yes they will fit, use everything from the 25 clutch assembly, flywheel, collet, pilot nut and hpi Aluminum shoes / springs of your choice

also, 2 or 3 clutch shoes. i don't understand the difference.

that all depends on what you want, the stock 25 is setup for 3 clutch shoes... would be cheaper to just stay with the 3 shoe setup and just get aluminum shoes... if you go 2 you need to change flywheel as well as some other things.

u already have the majority of the parts to just swap over to the LRP (or whatever engine you go with) if you stay with the 3 shoe setup.
