I've had my RC for a little more than month - and today I can officially say that I have it 100% where I want it. I've learnt that they're touchy, insane, fast and not something you can just let sit on a table/workbench and not have the urge to start it up and smoke out my family.
For the last week I've had tuning problems.. It would idle fine at start up, even when the motor was hot. But when I'd go WOT for a couple of seconds and then let it idle again, it would rev like mad! I made a post and was given a link to a thread that really helped me out, kinda.
Today, I discovered the muffler coupling was cut, so I replaced it. Eager to try (and very eager for the 4 hours of work to finish) I got home and started it up, made some minor tuning adjustments, and wouldn't you know it..
Same problem.
Found the smallest hole in my gas lines. Replaced it.
Tuned it-
FIXED!
I ripped down the road like a madman, over and over waiting for the rev's to go nuts at idle- but it never happened.
So the point of my post I guess, is never give up? I'm just excited, my gf couldn't care less haha.. I know you guys care!
This Saturday were finally filling in our track too, the weather on the last few weekends has been horrible.. And I promised more pics. And to top it off, the guys at work are all getting together and we're going to be racing around on it. I should have pics and video's posted on Sunday.
Until then, I just wanted to say thanks to everyone who helped me out here, I would of been clueless without you all
