Have got a stock radio box, servo saver, and HD driveshafts on the way.
I'm buying axle cups within the next day or two.

Looks good think were at about the same point few little things I need still haven't had any spare funds but I'm actually hopig to finish mine up at the end of the month, how bout you?
 
Ive got pleny of funds, just from the get go i made a rule with my self.

Not to dump alot of money into this truck all at one time.
It will be running by the summer. LOL

I'll have to get up a more recent shot of the work bench. Its coming along quite nicely.


Only a few small parts here and there are being bought for the truck.

The 2 major purchases left is the engine and a 2.4 radio. Going to pick up a 3PM or the 3PM-X.

Picked up my Hyperion charger from Amain the other day. It should be here Monday.
 
Way past due for a thread update.


Got rid of that crappy floor lamp and picked up a dual bulb T8 shop light with a pull string. No pictures of it but boy is it dandy.
Also picked up a radio shack power supply and soldering iron.

Still waiting on a few things for it.


The cup holder is indeed freakin sweet.
 
Received my XL roll bar and cage in the mail today.

Got that installed, was able to finish trimming the body up.
Got the hole cut in the bed and have got the body sat down alot lower then what it is in the pictures above.
Sucker is looked sweet.

Went to the LHS and picked up my clutch bell bearings, for my 14t bell on.
Really need to pick up a 47t and 49t spur gear. 52/17 isnt even close to fitting. lol
 
I have the same motor in a .28 flavor. I broke it in on 20% nitro with 16% oil. I put a gallong through it. Now I run it on 30% with 11% oil. I thought it was fast before, but now it is even faster.

LHS was all out of Byrons, i could have waited for them to get more in but i don't have too much time to make the 30-40 min drive 1 way to the not so local LHS for fuel.
So i bought what they had untill i need more.
I'll be using the HP8 blue thunder fuel for break in and some bashing.
 
New pictures with the cage and roll bar installed and the body sat down where i want it.

Well i got some painting done today.

Black Metallic, either blue metallic or candy blue and some hugger orange. Used transparent black on the cab lights and windows and Indy silver on the bumpers.

I'm going to go back and paint black behind the blue. Should darken it up some.


not to bad for my first body in 5+ or so years.
Its got its flaws, but looks pretty good at a distance.



Oh and no more stock pipe!

Put the JP3 on it, I'm ready for break in, come on servo!
 
It turned out alot better then i thought it would.

I'll run it for sure.
I'm wanting to do another topkick body already though.
Am also going to pick up an F650 body and a silverado body.


Cant have to many bodies!
