I went to the UPS store specificly so this would not happen. I made certain that they understood I was sending used engines for repair. NOT goods for sale. These idiots told me that it would be $21. The engines get to Robins door and they want another $113 Taxs on goods not purchased and brokerage fees. Get this if I would have sent it 2nd air it would have only been $50 fees included.

I'm heading to the store tomorrow to kill somebody! I have to spend an entire day fighting with CA customs and United Stupid Service.

Heres more salt in the wond, USPS as crappy as they are are government run so there are no brokerage fees. UNBELIEVEABLE

If you guys don't see me on tomorrow, its because I'm in jail. Look for me on the news. $113, somebody has to take a beating for it.

good luck man.

i hope they don't pull the same stuff on this end. I have a mil in the mail from robin that should be here any day now

To be honest I'm not sure how I had 3 engines sent to him. I think Mega shipped all of them for me and all 3 came back with Zero issues. I need to get John to chime in on my behalf. From Robins end there is no need to worry in regards to hidden cost.

Jimmy, tell them to give you your money back & then buy a airline ticket & fly to Robin's house & hand it to him. The way airlines are strapped for cash these days its probably cheaper.

yep usps up and back... no issues for me. Marked as warranty repair. I have heard this nighmare with fedex as well. I only use usps out of the country

After arguing with 3 different people for two hours last night, I was told to argue with the store and customs today.

Ca customs told me that Robin has to pay the customs portion and fill out a form and he will be rufunded the tax portion approx $40.

The ups store manager told me I was screwed, nothing he could do. I told him that I wanted to hear from the owner immediately. If not I was going to pay him a visit at lunch and he would not like it.

Back on the phone with corporate. i told them that I was getting no cooperation from the store, even though I was told by corporate that the store filled out the form wrong. They should have valued the item at 0. the insured value shouldnt be the same as declared value. she faxed me a correction form that I filled out and faxed back. This should eliminate the brokerage fees aaprox. $70.

Owner of the store calls to defend his mgr. BIG mistake. I tore his butt wide open. How can a manager at a ups store not know how to call corporate and reasses the fees whena Joe Blow can do it? especially since I gave him a name and phone #.

I also told him about another # dealing with ups store operations and that I was calling them next. That changed his attitude. He pled ignorance to the whole int shipping process. i asked How can you own a ups store and not know how to pick up the phone? Stupidity must be a franchise requirement.

grumpy I'm proud of u. thats the attitude iv got. u cant screw me around and not get whats comin to ya lol. good stuff

Update, engines are in Robins hands and no charges.

I'm glad to see that UPS straightened this out before Jimmy had to go make good on his promise for a butt-whoopin'.

theres enough going on in the world without another international incident on our hands, lol.:jamout:
