Anyone here in the northants area of the uk here wanna meet and give me lesson in tuning cos i am so had it... thought i might ask before i try again.
 
i have posted on here few days ago but still not getting it going right, basically i cant drive it because it stalls as soon as i apply any throttle, it ticks over ok sometimes cuts out after min or so, The hsn, lsn and idle screw are all at factory settings, i was advised to turn the lsn and hsn needle three quarters of a turn clockwise and see wot happens but it still cuts out on any kind of throttle, i have turned the idle screw in as far as i can without truck engaging clutch and creeping forward so its idling enough i put a temp gun on it and it was reading approx 80 c which i think is aroune 180 f.
had to give up as me glow plug heater i think went flat as wont start and when i checked it on 2 glow plugs the element did not lite up as much as i have seen it before.



I Just want to atleast drive it along so i can try and tune it, I'm not silly and i read about people tuning it and getting the hang of it trial and error like but when u cant drive it to tune it it gets REALLY frustrating...

update....

Ok I got it running round the back garden (at last ) basically i had to screw the hsn needle in more than i thought but i think it aint far off 2 turns in and it still sounds sort of chokey (it has a hpi ribbed pipe) if i give it more throttle is sometimes cuts out for example if its facing or stuck on a fence...( or just standing really ) and also i got a Fastrax Temp Gun and I'm getting reading of 270 f, i know its hotter than its supposed to be but when its idling its still smoking don't know what its gonna be like in a wide open space yet and when i let it stand for 10 mins i had to put the hsn needle back out cos it was a pain to start again. any advise on more tuning or anything I'm doing wrong ? i think i also put the lsn in a wee bit. And (again) i have the trim for throttle turned all the way down when its running but turn it up halfway ish when i wanna start it . does this sound about right, Any advice appreciated
 
I think you have an air leak. when i idles does it sounds liek RRRRRRRGRRRRRRRRGRRRRRR or does it idle normally? if it sounds like RRRRGRRRR then you LSN is to lean. It sounds like you have an air leak, check all of your fuel and pressure lines, check the seals in your tank, if not then check the engine.
 
Hard to explain a snd in words but its constant. i know this cos the throttle control went funny as one min it would work then nothing at all so i think batteries are dead. (steering seemed ok maybe a little weak) had to run the tank empty and never stalled once.

Also when it was working i could drive it round slowly ish with no problem, when it did stall and i started it, it does smoke alot for few seconds so correct me if I'm wrong but I'm thinking that the hsn is ABOUT right but the LSN is too rich and needs going in, by the way this is a NEW Savage X and i think its BROKE IN cos i have ran at least 7 tanks through it but just aint driven it over quarter morethan likely less throttle and prob wont ( until i start to enjoy it down the field with me 4yr old son : )
