Tuned pipe question

I have a axial 28 spec 1 and everyone recommended the polished hpi tuned pipe 86183. But i have found quite a few pipes from the 5.9 savage XL on eBay. How would that run with this motor? Are the pipes the same or different? i don't want to spend to much money cuz if this motor is crapping out on me i want to be able to afford a LRP Z.28R spec 3 for it. or something in that nature.

No the pipes are not the same... Also the lrp does not care for the HPI pipes for the best tune. So all I can say is get a better pipe for the long run. One that likes the lrp and the axail. But this jumps you to the 50-70 buck bracket

Yes for the buck the HPI Polished is a decent pipe and would work great for the axial engine. However like benk said there is much better and if you plan for the LRP or P3 or something like that your best bet is to spend once and get something that would work great for both.
