Got playing around with the Slash again this morning....
looking at the front suspension geometry and disappointed in both the travel and articulation i came to this conclusion.
Using x2 rear shocks from the Stampede and modifying it by only a few parts to deal with to make it happen. Preload spacers to keep the springs at the same ride height, HPI savage shock ballends to give it the length needed to reach the front suspension arm/knuckle and a length of 3mm rodend to mount the lower shock.
